if Staline is killed, this is an immediate victory for Germany and his allies

the construction of the UNO entails the immediate victory of the country that achieved this wonder (there is not an election as in classic game of civ3)

Germany launches surprise attack on Russia! Liepaja, Brest-Litovsk and Raseiniai were captured in lightning attacks with minimal resistance. German forces engage Russian units all along the Eastern Front and move in on many other Russian cities. Strategic bombing of Russian roads was conducted to cut off the retreat of fleeing Russian units. Hitler announces that it will be a quick war similar to the conquest of Western Europe and invites neighboring countries to join in helping eliminate the red menace once and for all.

Update- Played Hungary but not entirely sure what is supposed to happen next. I expected the AI to play and then I would move on to Italy. Game just quit instead. When I try and open my save, it brings up the Bulgarians as the next option to play. :confused:

The first week of war against the Soviet Union is a fairly quiet one for these German allies.

Hungary- Admiral Horthy's mobile infantry makes first contact against their Soviet adversaries.

Italy and Bulgaria applaud the move by Fuhrer Hitler to remove the Red menace once and for all. It is quite clear that the mass buildup of Soviet troops these past years has been solely for the purpose of crushing their neighbors. Presently moral support is the best the Italian and Bulgarian governments can offer. But troops are being mustered for the long struggle ahead.

Germany continued its advance into Russia capturing Lutsk, Kovel, Pinsk, Grodno, Kaimas, Bentspils, Rovno and Wilan. There were lots of battles against Russian troops outside these cities but Germany prevailed in most with the help of artillery and air support. Of note, Germany destroyed 3 planes on an airfield west of Zhitomer and another 3 on an airfield west of Minsk. There was some strategic bombing of Russian roads. Germany killed one Russian partisan unit NE of Sarajevo.

R2 costs exactly 60 shield, 20 shields more then R1.

This image stuff on the forum drives me nuts. I do see that the editor says they can be upgraded, but if that path is missing, then I'm suspicious. Perhaps this is a bug.

Just checked the CIV3 Editor. The R1 can be upgraded to the R2 but I think your city has to have a quartier general (equivalent of a barracks). For this you need the tech Reorganization du commandment which will take a very long time to get. So I think you are out of luck for now unless general.jcl can tell you otherwise.

German summary turn 31

Zhitomir was hammered by a lot of artillery and several units were killed. Germany lost 3 units but was unable to capture the city.

Attack on Brody. 2 armies and some tanks attacked Brody killing 4 units inside the city and one outside the city.

The siege of Lvov has begun. A major force has moved next to the city and plans to coincide its attack with the one on Brody. Several Russian tank units East of Tarnopol were weakened by bombing. Two were killed but Germany didn't have enough healthy units nearby to finish them off. Germany lost 2 tanks. A Russian reconnaissance unit was killed outside Tarnopol.

4 Russian units were killed by panzer divisions on the road SE of Dunaburg.

Saarema was bombarded by ships and one of the defending garisons was killed by a marine. German forces also land on the nearby island of Hiiuma.

Riga is bombarded by ships weakening a few planes. A Russian machinegun unit south of the city is destroyed by artillery and an infantry.

German bombers strike deep into Russia destroying a railway near Smolensk and Viasma.

General Vasillievsk is found wandering dazed and confused in the mountains near Molde and Trondheim. He is captured and summarily executed. Not sure how he got there.

Brody was captured. Its 3 defenders were killed.

Lvov was captured after artillery and air bombardment. Two german armies were called in to take out the heavy defenders and infantry did the rest of the work. Germany lost 3 infantry.

Hiiumaa was captured after naval bombardment redlined the defenders.

Our wounded panzer division hopped back on the transport and fled Saarema happy to still be alive. He has been demoted for running away from the battle.

German invasion force lands at Sebastopol. One of my transports was sunk by a sub after it had unloaded. It thought the sub was German and went to say hello but it turned out to be Russian :) The Russian sub was sunk by a German sub.

Zhitomir was heavily bombarded again. 4 Russian units were killed. Germany lost one panzer division. The city held.

Very long turn so i surely forget things:

Russia summary turn 33

Zhitomir finally falls after more bombardment and all out attack. Germany loses 6 panzer divisions because it was attacking with battle weary troops that didn't have much fight left in them.

Korasten was bombed and then 2 units were killed by German infantry. Looks like there is only 1 redlined garison left.

Two Russian defenders were killed by German army in Tarnopol and German moves in troops to lay siege.

Railguns bombarded Dunaburg and an infantry killed a defender. A stug attacked an infantry unit but ran away from the fight. Germany moves in lots of artillery and troops to lay siege.

Riga is also under siege. One Russian infantry was killed on the SE outskirts. Naval bombardment of the city weakens a ship and a few planes.

Sebastopol was captured after a fierce battle. Most of the German troops were redlined. German navy sank a 2 subs, 2 transports and a paqueboat S and SE of the city. There are still a couple of burning Russian ships in the area but Germany didn't have anything left to finish them off.

Saaremaa was bombarded by ships. A German marine killed a garison unit but the city held.

Assault on Hanko fails again, city is very well defended.

After consultation with King Boris and Admiral Horthy, Il Duce asks for an immediate audience with the Herr Hitler to discuss the present state of affairs. Military forces of Hungary, Italy and Bulgaria are ordered to stand fast pending further communication.

Only combat action was a pioneer and light MG tank killed at Stanislav by Italian forces.

Hungarian High Command recognizes the outstanding performance of the three frontier guards brigades by combining them into the newly formed Nikola Zrinski Division. Colonel Ferenc Farkas who commanded the 8th Frontier Guards Brigade is promoted to general in command of this newest mobile division. Colonel Farkas previous assignments include commandant of the Ludovica Academy, a long-time cavalry training ground.

Tarnopol was captured with minimal resistance. 3 Russian units killed. 8 Russian units fleeing the city were bombed and then killed. Germany lost 1 panzer division.

Dunaburg was captured after bombardment. A Russian parachute and infantry unit were killed after railgun bombardment and air bombing.

Saaremaa was captured by infantry and marine attack after naval bombardment reduced defenders to one hitpoint. A Russian transport was sunk by a sub next to Hanko. A Russian ship by Talinn was also sunk by a sub.

3 fleeing Russian units were killed NE of Sebastopol. The russian battleship and sub SE of the city were redlined by bombing but I lost a sub trying to sink them and promoted the ship to elite.

A Russian paratrooper on airfield near Gulbene was weakened by railguns and bombing and killed by a motorized infantry.

German battleships sink two big Russian ships by Talinn after some naval bombardment. Russia lost a battlecruiser against a coastal ship. The coastal ship was then sunk by a sub.

4 Russian units in Kiev were killed by 4 German armies.

A transport and a coastal ship were sunk by Feodosia. Germany lost one bomber bombing the bigger ships there.

That was fast! For the record, GPS 'd to general-jcl without any action. The German advance has been so swift it has left little for the Hungarians and Italians to do except march past cities captured by the German war machine.

Pskov and Tibilisi were captured but Germany had heavy casualties.

Germany lost 5 units attacking Kerch which suffered no losses.

I don't know what happened to Barbarossa II I had played a previous game of this and then this one, and it played fine. I upgraded my Internet explorer to 8 beta and the had to restore it and recieved a crash but recovered from it

I have all the mods and patches to this but just in case I should get the links from who ever nows them

presently I have EST in
C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Civilization III Complete\Conquests\Conquests
and in
C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Civilization III Complete\Conquests\Scenarios
but still get PediaIcon errors since I added the mod folder to the other folder I'm now getting Art errors

So let me look at the links and the Instructions and will have this back up as quickly as possible

You guys change nothing, only I need to be the same as you again.
Again, how ever it happened EST was no where to be found, I did buy a backup hard drive(500GB) and moved some files that I wasn't using, maybe somehow it was moved too.

Anyway I have all the downloads and the patch I just need to where you guys have your folder
