I'm surprised theres not a thread yet. This game is awesome! The online is great. If I didn't have adult resposibilities I could play this all day long probably. Anyone else got this yet?

I've ordered it online. I really enjoyed doubledash, and so I'm somewhat excited for it.

I thought it's pricetag is $50.

Well, based on ratings, this is a game that I would pay $30 for, not $50.

He lives in Australia, where they get butt raped price wise. Games can be up to $100 bucks there, so I've heard form people who live there.

Tis the curse of being an Australian Gamer... :(

I thought it's pricetag is $50.

If its 50 in the US, it should be ~$60AU because the aussie dollar is quite strong atm.

Every review I've seen has given it at least 9/10, plus the good parts of the game I will without a doubt enjoy. Worth at least $150 to me, I just don't have the money.

Side note; GTA4 costs $130AU, roughly $120US.

Why do you have to mess my thread up bringing ratings into it?

When you guys get it we'll have to battle, the people online are horrible at it.

I paid £30 for the game because I pre ordered it on-line. Normally it's £40.

Brilliant fun, and I was playing remarkably well from the get go, though my flailing around may have made onlookers think otherwise :p

Was a bit sad that the old Block Fort wasn't in it though, I always love that map.

EGM gave it a B- and two C C

not exactly stellar, They said the controls are fubar and the game is not as fun as double dash.

It's best with the classic controller/gamecube controller IMO. And I didn't really like Double Dash.

The controls are not that good.

I suck with the wheel, but c'mon. 2 as acceleration? You gotta be kiddin' me. Use A for it. B is items and only items.

() criticized MK64 for a worse singleplayer mode than the original Mario Kart, while Gamespot did for lack of difficulty and depth. What do you guys think, I frankly don't believe this at all.

But Mario Kart DS just owns. Oh, and here are the Gamerankings averages.

1. Super Mario Kart (95%)
2. Mario Kart: Super Circuit (92%)
3. Mario Kart DS (92%)
4. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (87%)
5. Mario Kart 64 (86%)
6. Mario Kart Wii (83%)

Just to make you feel happier, here are Gamespot's reader averages.

1. Mario Kart DS (93%)
2. Mario Kart Arcade GP (92%)
3. Super Mario Kart (91%)
4. Mario Kart Wii (89%)
5. Mario Kart 64 (87%)
6. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (86%)
7. Mario Kart: Super Circuit (84%)

Admittedly I can't wait to do a skateboarding stunt using a kart, or actually using a steering wheel to drive instead of a controller.

BTW do wireless GCN controllers work on the Wii?

swein, of course the single player's easy......even though it's still harder than newer games like Galaxy, and Twilight Princess.... the real fun was playing against friends, here's an example, I STILL play 64, but haven't played double dash for more than two years......

King of Town

I use the classic controller and it's great. If I would have known this thread was just going to be a place for swein to build his post count by posting things about gaming websites I never would have started it.

64 as a whole as great for multiplayer because it was the first nintendo to have the four controller slots, so you didn't have to bother with the multitap thing. The bond games, kart, and my friends watched wrestling back then so we played plenty of that too. I still play kart 64 on the VC, it is a lot of fun.

Whatever it costs, it is worth it. I love the online play. It's a great game for me, the wife, & kids. I get to play against my brothers & sisters who are on the other side of the country from me, that's bad ass.

My friend code is 5284-1718-1586

I will post mine for you (if you're interested) once I get home & look it up.

It's best with the classic controller/gamecube controller IMO. And I didn't really like Double Dash.

I also use the GC controller on this game, but my wife & kids use the wheel very well........ so I guess to each his own.

I played it one, and I hated it. The new way of steering is just retarted, IMO. Call me an old-timer, but it would be much better just to at least have an option to steer with the directional buttons.
