I have a brand new iMac, and am dying to try my Mac version of Civ 4.
The problem I get is that I can't install it :(.
Each time I get the message that no space is available. What should I delete to make room?
I'm guessing "Spaces" or "Expose", both of which take up more space than Civ. Can I safely delete these?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, welcome! :wavey:
I very much doubt if you have insufficient room on your new iMac. My guess is you are trying to install it into the wrong place. You need to drag the Civ4 folder from the DVD into your Applications folder, then start Civ4 by double clicking its icon in the folder you copied in Applications.

Alas, same result.
One of those times I feel I must be doing something so inept that everyone else is too embarrased to pointed in out to me.
Have e-mailed Aspyr support, and seen what they advise. No answer yet. Did anyone else have the same problem?

If you select your hard disk in the Finder and hit cmd-I, what does it say for the available space?
You can also install Civ in your home directory, then you don't have to worry about authenticating.

I'm both Mac and hardware illiterate, but as far as I can tell, it says I have 279.45 GB available. http://forums.civfanatics.com/images/smilies/confused.gif
How do I install in my home directory?

Your home folder is the folder that contains your Documents, Music, Pictures, etc. folders. You should see an icon for it in the sidebar in a Finder window---it'll have a little house next to the name. It's also probably the default folder when you open a new Finder window. Just drag the Civ IV folder from the DVD to your home folder.
