I suggest we use the funds to blitzkrieg Italian minors. We need a broad base and selling off lands might not be the best idea in the long run, though it would provide immediate benefits. :)

I: No, unless we are in deep economic debt, i suggest we wait before selling off these lands.

II: No, to blitzkreig the minor states would be like smashing a sword against a rock. Italia is not made for vast pincer movements, and by putting your money into a " quick move, quick disolve " sort of thinking, you also completely forget the fact that the minor states can very quickly call upon reserves, and also form a rather large army if gathered at one spot.

I suggest we try to strike off a bargin with either France or UK, an alliance would greatly improve our chances of liberating Italia.

The Emperor has sold the City of Nice to the Gauls for the time being, while it greatly pains him he knows it is key to uniting Italia under the Roman banner.

We sell the Gauls back their Caribbean colony back for 5,500.

40,000 farmers and converted into legionaries, they are still in training and their Units still unformed.

March 28 1836
The Emperor orders the formation of 4 Reserve Legions.

April 25 1836
A new Regular legion is formed with an Artillery Brigade.

4 more reserve legions are formed.

We sell Chambrey to the Gauls for 8800, their Caribbean holdings and French Guiana.

The 8 Reserve Legions are called up.

Operation Pax Romana I
6 Legions under the Command of Gaius Octavius attack the papal states via sea from Admiral nodikus' fleet. D'Artagnan commands the push from the North with 8 Legions.

General Octavius enters the City of Rome with no resistance from the Papal Army. He tries to crown himself Emperor but his aides restrain him.

January 14 1838
General D'Artagnan after some minor skirmishes reaches his objective of Florence, he continues his push into the land of the Etruscans.

February 22 1838
General Octavius is able to defeat the Army of the Two Sicilies and enter Neapolis!

March 6 1838
The Two Sicilies capitulate and the Kingdom of Italy is proclaimed! The Pope refuses to surrender still!

August 13 1838
The last armys of the Pope Defeated, he cedes all his lands - the City of Rome and and becomes a protectorate of the Empire.

October 1 1838
The Emperor has decided to remove the false Pope and cancel the "peace treaty".

The Emperor has declared war in the Algerians. He has sent Prince Scamp to personally deal with them. 36,000 Roman troops advance into the Interior.

May 3 1841
General Ironman's Cavalry of corps 36,000 men land in Oran to assist General Scamps push inland.

October 1 1841
The Algerians cede almost all their lands to us and become a Roman Protectorate. Scamp has been given the name Scamp Africanus for his deeds in the name of the Roman people.

The Ottomans, French, and Brits are guaranteeing Tunisia.
Greece has several guaranteeing it.
Egypt is a Ottoman puppet.
Austria is allied with the rest of Germany.
We can't really expand without a major war except in East Africa.

So the question is now, what do we do next?

Next is Aldjazair. Then, Tunis, also maybe that nation in south of Aldjazair (I'm only familiar with Vanilla Ricky).

In VIP, that's the Tuareg. But with BB being where it is at the moment, it would likely be more than the new Italian state could chew for the moment.

I am familiar with 2 stage annexation. Thing is Tuareg does not have much of any worth and it is lots of land to patrol.

It doesn't, but it makes things much easier. It eliminates a risk of war from France over those three provinces and gets you some precious money and a large foothold in Africa (if you're playing VIP, they don't have Gabon, Ivory Coast, or Senegal). Leads to more prestige in vanilla.

Get Annecy, Chambery and Nice back, and also Corsica if you haven't got that, and Idrsko, Pola and Trieste if you haven't got that. Also, get Malta if you haven't got that. Also, get Chur, Sitten and Bellinzona.

Whilst I mainly play Victoria on my girlfriends laptop, at my (parents) house i've tried Victoria, it did take awhile to download (an hour) and I must say I didn't really like it, felt they'd made the game too constricted! Whilst the normal version of the game could do with a few more events I think they put way too many in that aren't flexiable enough!
