As requested, here is Russian SFSR , by personal request.

This is my weekly civ contribution for everyone to enjoy!!

These are comprised from Diversica & Varietas Delectat with very very little changes. In some the the civs i could not use all the units so i changed just a few things around.:p I tried to be true to Civ4. Changes would be nice if you have good ideas.

I love the Marine!

Thanks, I made that one. I have to admit, it is a bit of a mix between post-WWII Soviet and modern Russian marine, or more accurately, naval infantry.

If this is Russia, why do you have the Soviet Union Flag?

Don't you know the difference between Russia & Soviet Union?
I guess not.

Ick... don't like the Russian Infantryman... that hat on his head just screams 1800s Russia, not 20th century infantry. There's so many better models to choose from then the stereotype (1800s) hat for a 20th century infantry.

You don't need to be so mean. Maybe he wanted to have the Russian Federative Socialist Republic flag, but couldn't find one, so he just put the Soviet Union in instead.

Bleck... so what's wrong with using WWII-era Infantry like all your other packs?

Danrell made a pretty nice one...
(hey, hey... ho, ho... that Russian fur hat has got to go!)

You can also use my russian spec guys as some modern forces. I know it doesnt really realistic, but "Battlefield 2 spec" inspired me to do that and Im going to imrove them (Russian spec v2.0)

Here's a real modern infantry for Russia I made some time ago. Don't think it was ever released on CFC before. You can use it too, if you'd like to.

Ok, i'll wait for 2.o then.

Thx, i really like the details on the helmet. Dont know when i can get to it, cause i am pretty busy adding civs to NEW mod, that some idiot(s) on CFC always gives me a 1 star crap, but to everyone else they get 5 stars, for exact same thing, idiot, its always in the download area.

That looks like a modern-day Marine, not an "infantry" style unit... I think it looks great for a marine, but not for infantry (well, if the goal is more WWII-like era infantry).

That'd be quite a jump... the current "infantry" in this mod looks like 1800s, then you'd skip to 2000-era modern day "infantry".

I think it would look best as a modern marine replacement.

Eh... who knows. :dunno:

As I said, it is a modern-era regular infantry unit, as employed by late USSR and modern Russia. The camo pattern and insignia used on the suit is modern, while the helmet camo is the one used in Afghanistan (but I think pretty much unchanged since).

Naval infantry (Russia's/USSR's marines) would look like this:
http://flot.sevastopol.info/photos/photo_morpeh/morpeh_008.jpg
http://www.airsoftgun.ru/command/russia/moscow/mpussr/img12.jpg
Already made these, and they're in the pack.

I'd suggest using modern infantry not as "Infantry" unit replacement, but alongside IFV/Mech. Inf units (1 vehicle + 2-3 infantrymen) to give it a better visual distinction from tanks.
