...and relentless?

Playing a OCC game and I'm doing quite well considering Saladin and Lizzy have been at war with me since pretty much the start. A few hundred turns ago (I'm on Marathon) Budica decided to get in on the action. Here's the funny part. She keeps sending wave after wave of the Celtic Warriors and Spearmen to get mowed down by my ever advancing Riflemen! Just non stop for hundreds of turns of turns now. I don't get it. No body has built the AP yet (surprisingly) so it's not like shes being forced to attack. Every 40 turns or so I try to make peace with here because she's just annoying and I got bigger fish to fry(Saladin mainly). She sometimes accepts for about 12 turns or so then whamo right back to war. :crazyeye:

Is her Ai really set that suicidal? I could probably mow here whole civ down in a few turns but she's surrounded by people I don't not have border agreements with (nor do I care too).

Just an Observation I guess. It's like a Fly buzzing around your house you can never catch. You wish it would just go away, but it's not really hurting anything.

If you're saying that she is vengeful to the point of self-destruction, well that sounds historical to me.

I understand thats the Historical Implication, I juts did not realize they would make her AI react the same.

Nice Pic AfterShafter!

You're playing a OCC, so your power is comparatively low even if you have far more advanced units... so ,for any AI you look a decent target. And as I suppose that the relationship of strengths is roughly the same when the war ends ( you haven't destroyed any of her cities, did you? ), add that to the lack of diplo + ( you don't have prolonged peace or OB ,for a quick example ) and you have it all set for another war....

solution: Raze a city or two

It is not only Boudica that shows that kind of behaviour... all the more agressive AI ( Monty, Alex , Ragnar, even JC ) will show that behaviour ( in OCC it shows more ) ... So much for the T-Shirt pun ;)

Boudica is actually my favorite warmonger. Especially with unrestricted leaders. Her roman praets are so silly. :mischief:

Keep her around to be your rifleman fodder, and future infantry fodder. Until then, keep racking up the promotions. Try to get some offensive promotions too--once you get an oil navy, you'll want to invade her and force her capitulation. She'll hate you though for razing her cities. If you want her to be more of your pawn, destroy her border/secondary cities and keep her "big 3", in that you keep her able to produce quickly and effectively. Once she capitulates (don't raze those cities--just attack them down to 1 defender and pillage all resources. If you have the troops, form a siege ring around her cities--make it so they're hammer, food, and commerce-poor. Once she capitulates, you can trade her better techs with which she can build a decent army and use her warring capabilities to be a second, third, or even fourth+ SoD for your real enemies.

There are some AI that are great cannon fodder--the are some AI that are great partners--and then there are some AI that are great vassals. Aggressive vassals are your best bet--they're under your control. Some will surrender faster than others--in a recent game that I formed a PA with my near-neighbor Egypt. After acquiring Japan and Korea as vassals, we proceeded to force the capitulation of all others. It wasn't hard, but it also wasn't that easy. It comes to this--attack and capture cities, force their capitulation early, and then gift cities back. They'll love you, and you'll be guaranteed their votes for victory and their land and population count as yours.

I say slaughter them to the last man, I dont like vassalizing unless I'm feeling lazy.
