So really I don't know, but if you're looking for a mod maybe there's one? http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=158 Krug May 05, 2008, 09:12 PM Or you could always play AOE II. However I'm sure there's is a mod somewhere. Just look! omnimutant May 05, 2008, 09:45 PM Or you could always play AOE II. +1 I loved that game! Then 3 came out and killed the series. Just turn your science slider to 0% and and destroy all of your cottages and fire all your scientists and artists and spies. Don't build Universities, libaries monasteries and the University of Sankore. Don't trade or steal techs. Ignore Goody Huts. :) Well that won't keep you from advancing but you will progress very very slowly. ;) dubrown May 06, 2008, 01:31 AM You could always do some editing to set some well chosen techs to be very expensive, thus not allowing research to go beyond that point. I think there's some mod doing this as well but I don't remember the name. _alphaBeta_ May 07, 2008, 12:27 PM There are mods out there that disable techs for all players. If you want to play an entire game with axeman, now you can. There's probably more, but here are a few: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=169293 http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=147474 Asjo May 08, 2008, 04:21 PM Once you find technologies to fit the era, you can go to Assets\XML\Technologies\CIV4TechInfos.xml and change <bDisable>0</bDisable> to <bDisable>1</bDisable>. You should backup the file first, though. This change means that one nation will get any new technologies. |
