Confederate Armageddon Mod by CSAbadass
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/government.jpg
Following a lengthy term as President, Captain decided to step down and allow Harry Flood Byrd to take over the reigns, leaving him the difficult job of modernization, Confederate troops are still using equipment from the last war and with the world in its current state public opinion is largely in favour of an army capable of defence.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/impress.jpg
with the Germans and Austro-Hungarians reigning supreme in Europe, The Ottomans controlling the middle east with an Iron grip and the Soviet Union growing stronger and stronger as time goes on, things look bad for the CSA, but since when has horrible odds discouraged Dixie?
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/map-1.jpg
SuperBeaverInc. May 07, 2008, 04:18 PM Post some screenshots of Europe and Asia so we can see how screwed up the borders are! :yeah:
Kan' Sharuminar May 07, 2008, 04:25 PM Reporting from the Pacific. It's rather hot here, can I go to Europe?
I second Subi - let's see the world's borders!
Captain2 May 07, 2008, 04:30 PM http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/eris.jpg
Europe
and Asia
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Asis.jpg
actually the Soviet Union is meant to have Korea like that, France and Russia split Korea after the Boxer Rebellion but France lost their half to rebels
Maniacal May 07, 2008, 04:32 PM Poor France, can't even fight it's way out of a paper bag little alone rebels.
nodikus May 08, 2008, 12:26 AM <From beyond the Grave> What's the ORange in India?
SuperBeaverInc. May 08, 2008, 12:33 AM India
XCL
Maniacal May 08, 2008, 12:47 AM So, am I still in South Africa? (Guess it would be my son, grandson or great grandson by now though
Captain2 May 08, 2008, 02:03 PM @Nodikus, you can have a family member take your old post if you'd like and yes, those are the parts of India that Britain was unable to take
@Scamp, actually I had you transfered to East Africa, you may transfer back if you'd like
Captain2 May 08, 2008, 02:26 PM World News!
The world states its astonishment as twice within one year the underdog seems to win wars that would otherwise be a long shot.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/etopioa.jpg
After a declaration of war by the USSR, Ethiopia moves quickly and captures all bordering Soviet colonies, its unlikely the Russians will allow such a victory but for nearly 6 months the war has gone without a shot fired.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/invason.jpg
and the Government of Azerbaijan has stunned the world following its lightning offensive through Persia, eventually resulting in an extremely surprising result
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/wiil.jpg
and finally, after discussions with the British government, the Confederacy has obtained the ability to reproduce British aircraft for the CSAF, starting with the spitfire although only one has been created thus far
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/spitfire.jpg
D'Artagnan59 May 08, 2008, 02:44 PM Whoa.
Surprising.
General Artagnan checking in. There any events?
Captain2 May 08, 2008, 04:41 PM yep, theres a large list of events that comes with the Confederate Armageddon mod
also, its been awhile but a vote may be a good idea
Option 1: Join the Allies- The Central Powers are the undisputed rulers of Europe, the CSA could likely change the course of an unavoidable war
Option 2: Become Isolationist- The Central Powers have large armies, The Ottoman empire alone has 200 Divisions while Britain only has 74, luckily the USSR has 400 so we could possibly find a balance here
ComradeDavo May 08, 2008, 04:53 PM Officer Davo recommeneds an isolationaist course, sir! We must not bow to European imperialism!
Luckymoose May 08, 2008, 04:58 PM @Capt: Ugh I cannot stand your terrible plane, I will make you one.
Maniacal May 08, 2008, 05:21 PM Option 3: Invade Ethiopia.
IronMan2055 May 08, 2008, 07:13 PM What does our army look like?
Captain2 May 08, 2008, 07:18 PM 147 Infantry Divisions and 1 Armoured
IronMan2055 May 08, 2008, 07:24 PM The German threat must be stopped, eastern Europe shall be free of (Hitler's?) regime. We must expand our armored divisions and our airforce, seek trades with the western nations, but don't ally yet.
Captain2 May 10, 2008, 12:05 AM alright as we now have a tied vote (and one for a third option) I'll break the tie and join the allies
Allies:
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/allies.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/naviesalli.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/airalli.jpg
Central Powers:
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Axis.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/centnavy.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/centralair.jpg
Commintern:
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Soviet-1.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/rednavy.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/comminternair.jpg
and in other events the USSR has decided to regain land lost after the Great war and has started a new war which it obviously won
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/USSR-2.jpg
and the CSA boasts the worlds first rocketry program, its a way off from yielding any results but hopefully something will come of it
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/rockets.jpg
finally, the Confederate build list, hopefully the key to quickly catching up to the industrial capacity of its neighbours
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/factories.jpg
Captain2 May 11, 2008, 01:47 PM The War in the East
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/ukraines.jpg
following assurances from Kaiser Wilhem II, Ukraine has declared war upon the USSR in hopes of gaining Ukrainian land under Soviet control, this of course brings Russia against the full might of the Central Powers.
The allies have yet to decide how to respond
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Warintheeast.jpg
nodikus May 11, 2008, 01:57 PM I think you got the airforce graphs mixed up. What kind of expiditionary force could we deploy?
Captain2 May 11, 2008, 02:36 PM Fixed :)
and after viewing French troop deployments and noticing that they only had 10 divisions guarding their homeland I have deployed 30 Confederate Divisions to guard them against German-Italian invasion forces.
We also need to come up with a plan in case the Allies go to war with the Central Powers, currently deployments go as follows:
General Kan: French-German Border, 30 Divisions
General Scamp: East Africa, 13 Divisions
General Octavius: South Africa, 20 Divisions
Admiral Nodikus: 5 Battleships and 1 Cruiser
Leaving: 53 Divisions and 11 Subs, plus any front someone comes up with
D'Artagnan59 May 11, 2008, 03:23 PM Wait...
You're forgetting me.
IronMan2055 May 11, 2008, 04:23 PM Send some divisions to the Phillipines.
Captain2 May 11, 2008, 04:26 PM with good reason, your sitting on a dock in Virginia awaiting assignment, feel free to apply for something or propose a place for the troops :p
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/africa-5.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Eat.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Euro-1.jpg
whoops, cant really read the last map
alright, basically 39 Confederate Divisions in France and 18 French
the Mediterranean is firmly within Central Powers control, Egypt is controlling the Suez Canal and Germany controls Gibraltar
@Ironman, would love to but the Germans happen to control Panama as well :(
IronMan2055 May 11, 2008, 04:42 PM Scout it out from the Carribean and try and an attack if it looks possible.
edit: wait won't rebasing still work going around South America?
D'Artagnan59 May 11, 2008, 04:52 PM Assign me whereever. Probably in the UK mainland front.
Captain2 May 11, 2008, 05:14 PM http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/industry-1.jpg
also the question of what we should produce for the war effort, or if we should upgrade our infantry to 1939 levels
IronMan2055 May 11, 2008, 06:41 PM Run it like that for a couple of months then lower it so that you can do both.
(what happened to the factories?)
Captain2 May 11, 2008, 06:42 PM built 33 and then went from 650 to the current 393.92
Captain2 May 12, 2008, 10:22 AM http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/6297/059rk0.png
Deja Vu?
Shortly after war was declared by the Allies upon the aggressive Central Powers, the first Allied offensive of the war was launched by General Octavius in South Africa into German territory defended by only one division, at least the first battle was won eh?
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/mocha.jpg
also the Germans broke through the French line in Europe, luckily the speedy response by General Kan allowed the gap to be filled and the Germans were beaten back to their own lines
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/whiio.jpg
however something quite strange happened as a result of this, a war developed in which the lines never really moved and both sides dug in, launching offensives and not really getting anywhere with it, this type of war has yet to be seen and several optimists are predicting this type of war cannot last long
http://www.ramsdale.org/trench2.jpg
IronMan2055 May 12, 2008, 02:43 PM Look at GO's picture. :P
Kan' Sharuminar May 12, 2008, 07:04 PM Trench warfare, eh? I heartily recommend these things called 'tanks' to break any stalemate. Ought to show those Jerry bastards a thing or two!
What strength are those French fortifications on the border? And definitely upgrade troops to 1939, unless German infantry is equivalent to ours?
Captain2 May 12, 2008, 07:08 PM the French fortifications are currently at level 8 and German infantry is currently '39 and therefore advanced
and it appears the trench war may stay infantry until we've upgraded to full 1939 simply because our only other tank is in South Africa
Kan' Sharuminar May 12, 2008, 07:51 PM The greatest battle in our nation's history, and our most advanced weapon of war is in South Africa? Please tell me my armies have at least some decent equipment! Do my men have rifles, or are they being sent to 'more important' fronts? "Never mind lads, I'm sure our swords will show those German machine guns a thing or two!
Ahem. Mr. President, sir! :p
Captain2 May 12, 2008, 08:27 PM More Important Fronts
Following the requests of General Artagnan to send troops to the Pacific front it was decided that he should be involved in bringing the German stranglehold over South America to an end, starting with Belize, which would then be used as a base for Admiral Nodikus to cover an invasion of the Panama canal
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/belize.jpg
The sheer power of the Generals offensive lead to the German surrender, landing a key strategic point in the hands of the CSA that could be used to block supplies from Panama as well as prevent Germans from attacking allied shipping forced to go around South America, therefore the feared Admiral Nodikus was launched to deal with the Germans and soon taught Fritz a lesson in how naval warfare is conducted
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/nvl.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Naval-1.jpg
also in a move that shook Kaiser Wilhelm to his very core, he received word that another nation had declared war upon the Central Powers, quite possibly turning the tide of the entire war by themselves
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Portuohgeeze.jpg
or not
Edit: In the East, Krushchev's Ukraine is holding out against Trotsky's USSR better than could be expected
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/ukraine.jpg
IronMan2055 May 13, 2008, 02:19 PM Reminds me of a NES I did, kinda...
Why haven't the Ottomans (turkey) just taken out Greece?
Captain2 May 13, 2008, 10:18 PM http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/letter-1.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Charge-2.jpg
Volum May 14, 2008, 11:50 AM Seems you are having serious troubles with overstacking, may i suggest we start the production of more HQ's, or promote some of more able Mj/Lt. Generals to higher positions.
IronMan2055 May 15, 2008, 03:49 PM He could merely be support attacking, I belive that the numbers are totaled when you do that.
Volum May 16, 2008, 04:32 AM Then he should promote 1 of them, cause 7 of those attacking divisions are seriously penatilized.
Captain2 May 17, 2008, 08:44 AM http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Victory-3.jpg
The Confederate troops have finally broken through the enemy line and started their advance into enemy territory, however a General by the name of Himmler has turned the tide back in favour of the Germans by foolishly charging into the province to stop the Confederate advance, despite only having a quarter of the strength of the opposing Confederate army, yet that stalling action took its affect and General Von Rundstedt was able to push the CSA back to its own lines.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/turj.jpg
An Ottoman landing in Cuba has been foiled today by the forces of General Volum, who launched an attack with a force of the same size of the enemy and was able to cause the enemy to retreat within an hour of his attack, he has received an award for his efforts.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/Sunkships.jpg
and a look at the naval war, courtesy of Admiral Nodikus's flotilla
Volum May 17, 2008, 02:30 PM Yay i got an award!
Captain2 May 18, 2008, 02:02 PM Following reports of a Confederate transport flotilla being attacked by German ships originating in the Azores. Admiral Nodikus was dispatched to prevent further use of the base by the enemy navy, however after seeing the battleships coming to face them and hearing rumours of Admiral Nodikus being in charge the enemy navy refused to leave the docks.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/azores.jpg
While this was acceptable for the allied commanders it was by no means permanent, following a Presidential recommendation General Volum was given the duty of leading the force that would hopefully drive the Kreigsmarine out of the path of vital allied supply lines.
Meanwhile on the European front a breakthrough has finally occurred due to the end of winter.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/breakthrough.jpg
General Kan has also finally received support from the 2nd Confederate Armoured Corps. lead by General Patton who has arrived in time to push parts of the German army into friendly (although Neutral) Belgium where they will hopefully stay for the duration of the war
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/Captain2/patton.jpg
Kan' Sharuminar May 18, 2008, 02:19 PM It certainly looks like we're capable of an all-out offensive into Germany with Patton's forces (fine fellow, owes me money though). Take the Ruhr and, if possible, make a push for Berlin!
IronMan2055 May 19, 2008, 01:59 PM Patton is due for a promotion me thinks.
Nuclear kid Jun 01, 2010, 10:22 PM this should definately be concluded
or at least give me the save file :p
Captain2 Jun 01, 2010, 11:38 PM I've had three different computers since 2008, that save file is long gone :p
