New member, long time reader

After installing patch 3.03 and 3.13 manually several times the game still says I'm running the final realease 3.00. I saw a post about this last night but I can't find it so sorry for duplicate post. I'm currently trying to reinstall the game.
Also, when I installed bts I got an error message and the install wizard froze up and crashed but I could still play: the disk is brand new and has no damage that I can see. Using gold edition if that makes a difference. Everything was installed into the default directories.

I'm sure the official advice is to uninstall and re-install everything. You would be given an option not to delete save games and the like.

Of course, that takes hours and it didn't even work for me.

When you installed patch 3.13, did it copy a lot of files? If it did, and you're not playing with them, then they must have gone in the wrong place. I think that your windows directory is the default if it can't find your install. It might be worth checking if there's a Civ4BeyondSword.exe in C:\Windows or somewhere else it shouldn't be.

Yeah I uninstalled and reinstalled everything and patched it from the menu screen. Seems to be working fine now. Maybe the 3.13 patch and older patches don't get along or something coz I patched directly to 3.13 this time and it worked.

Versions? AntiVirus? Firewalls? :crazyeye:
