I just got a message in 830AD saying: "All records of ancient games have been forever lost". Earlier I had an "The Washington Games have become a unifying event...(choose the +1 relations option for 20 gold)". Anyway, I assume that this recent event follows from the earlier one but there was nothing stating what actually happened. Is it just a flavor message or does something actually occur that just isn't displayed?

The event becomes obsolete when you enter the medieval era or when you research a tech(forgot).

you just lose the bonus you chose earlier.

you just lose the bonus you chose earlier.

And you also now have chance to get the modern games in the modern? era, so the bonus might come back, IIRC, if this other event spawns.

The burning and sacking of the Library of Alexandria are the very likely motives of the programmers on this one...
