View Full Version : Question slashtrash May 12, 2008, 02:42 PM I was wondering what makes my temples/monasteries/cathedrals get +2 prod points Does it have anything to do with the Apostolic Palace?? eewallace May 12, 2008, 02:46 PM Yep, I think that all of the religious buildings of the same religion as the AP get this bonus. Maybe only if it is the state religion, though... JujuLautre May 12, 2008, 06:20 PM nope, you don't need to be of the AP's religion. But you need to be a voting member; you lose that status if you defy a resolution, until a certain number of turns. joncnunn May 12, 2008, 06:57 PM Yup. In fact the only improvement over Bhuric's I would recomend are related to production bonsues for the AP: 1. Monstaries / Temples for cities with the AP religion should be very high in the AIs queues when at least a voting member. (And also be confident the Monstary would actually complete before Sci Method) 2. AI should spam to itself the AP religion when at least a voting member to improve producation and also to give itself a larger say in world affairs. Yes, the AP does what you are asking. Welcome to the Forums slashtrash. oranges May 13, 2008, 10:50 AM I was wondering what makes my temples/monasteries/cathedrals get +2 prod points Does it have anything to do with the Apostolic Palace?? Yes, which is another reason I hate not being able to build monasteries after they obsolete (the ingame tip still indicates the +2 hammer bonus as active for existing monasteries). If the AP religion is your state religion, religious wonders such as University of Sankore and Spiral Minaret are great since you'll want to build those religious buildings in practically every city anyway. CoZe May 13, 2008, 11:37 AM wow, I didn't know the production bonuses. I confirm I saw these in some of my games and wondering what they're about. I also checked civpedia but it doesn't talk about production bonuses ? slashtrash May 14, 2008, 12:08 PM Thanx a lot, I feel totally enlightened!! joncnunn May 14, 2008, 06:34 PM Actually it looks like (with Bhruic's) existing Monstaries stop producing the hammers as soon as you have Scientific Method. The temples and catherdrials will also stop producing hamers when the AP itself goes obsolete. oranges May 14, 2008, 08:02 PM Actually it looks like (with Bhruic's) existing Monstaries stop producing the hammers as soon as you have Scientific Method. It doesn't show when you mouseover; still indicates +2:hammers:. I haven't bothered to do the math, though, to check whether it is indeed active, since I cannot build them anyway. The same is true for U. of Sankore and Spiral Minaret, :science:and :gold: bonuses still show. |
