Wow, great stuff. I think the new Vulcan looks great. As I recall, your original one was one of the first units I ever added to the game. I don't remember if that was posted here. I think I got it at CDG.

I have no time to actually play the game these days but I like coming here every now and then to see all the cool new graphics that the talented artists are making. Thanks for these. And thanks for the old Vulcan too.

these new additions are spuerb as usual :D i especially like the v-series ones as the 1st 2 were always on my want list.

here's a shot of them in-game. sorry about the clutter. i needed to test them in-game for the latest TCW upload -- i also like the fidget anims w/ the barrel rolls

Okay, time for a short story.
It's been in the 90's here in TX.. High 30'C for you metric poeple.
My air conditioning isn't working. So it's 87'F in the COOL parts of my apartment. It's way too hot to sit infront of my computer for hours doing these units. I checked my stats and my CPU chip was running at 62'C the other night. These past 3 days it's been a little cooler at night so I was able to make a few planes this week.
Gloster Javelin, 2 Jaguars, Wyvern, Attacker and SeaVixen.

That's the fate of humankind to always complain about the weather...

Here, we had a lot of rain for days, I could barely use a few sunny hours yesterday to maw the loan.

And nice british units!

Wyrmshadow
May 30, 2008, 05:04 AM
Well the last time Europe had to suffer through a Texas style summer.. 3000 poeple died.

Steph
May 30, 2008, 05:10 AM
You are way off. In 2003, where we had +10°C in France compared to normal, the extra death toll, in France alone, was +3000 to +10400 depending on how you count.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7e/Canicule_Europe_2003.jpg

And in Italy, it's 20,000

A new stolen unit is up. I stole this model from the super thieves at Microsoft. It depicts a sky pirate FRS1 SeaHarrier from the buccaneers of the Imperialist British Navy. Its most infamous engagement was during the illegal imperialist re-occupation of the Poeple's Republic of the Malvinas Islands in 1982. There, the capitalist running dogs used these tools of imperialist colonial oppresion to bomb defenseless orphanages and baby formula factories of The People. Steal this download now you Capitalist War Mongering Oppressors of the Proletariat.

Now THAT'S sarcasm.

It's really really reallly hot in my apartment right now. So I'm not sitting infront of my computer for 15 hours making a dozen units at a time. I just completed another harrier model. I repainted one of my earlier USMC units. Now you have the Spanish Armada's Matador.

Nice matador :) During the last major blackout, I discovered that an ice cube held to the side of the neck (the carotid artery) and the wrists gives some relief. Just be careful of an "ice cream headache" if you go for the neck.

The E-3 (looking great as usual BTW:goodjob:) looks like an AWACS to me, but I guess it isn't?

Also, I really like the description/background info you've provided on the Sherpa.

"AWACS" is just the describtion of what this aircraft does. AWACS is short for "Airborne Warning and Control System" .... there are other aircraft who can do the same thing ...

Why did I write that? Are both Wikipedia and Google down?

I wonder, why make A-380 instead of A400M?

#1. Because I wanted to annoy you.
#2. Because the texture for the A400 was 10x more complex and time consuming for me to put together than it was for the super jumbos. So I decided to only make one A400.

Just as a general note of interest Wyrm, but are you planning to make more German Luftwaffe planes as well? I just needed to ask that before I leave.

And I don't think I need to tell you that all your new additions are amazing...no need in stressing the obvious. :goodjob:

Oh, Wyrmshadow, wherefor art thou?

Guys, I recommend you learn to use and monitor the database from time to time... no 24 hours have passed since the last unit he made. In fact, I made an Eurofighter texture, handed it to Wyrm, and only short time later, the unit was ready to download.

There are still some textures for me to do, for the Eurofighter as well as the Tornado. So if there is any delay, it's my fault. ;)

That's because I've been a little busy doing other side projects (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tccJJXViNXY)instead of being bored with airplanes. And I don't really feel I have a need to advertise much. If you spend a lot of time on the forums then you SHOULD check the database on a regular basis.

Another nice job, I did not realize the Italians made a jet back in the 60's.
Ozzy I thought so also although Orange is usually for some type of rescue function so I found this reference picture. I have to say Wyrm's looks like a dead ringer.
