This is another what-if unit: Suppose Romania did not collapse in WWII and continue their alliance with Germany? For sure the Industria Aeronautică Română (IAR) in Braşov would have manufactured the Me 410 under license from Messerschmitt AG...

Interesting "what if". Romania probably could have managed the air frame, but the engines would have been a problem. Romania did not have that big a manufacturing sector.

The engines would probably have come directly from Daimler-Benz in Stuttgart, Germany. Maybe not the top-of-the-line, most powerful engines, but probably still very capable.
