So I have never created a mod of any sort and was thinking I would really like to make an Iron Man mod (think Mech Warrior from Next War). But I have no idea where to start, I would think the easist way would to make a skin and then modify paramaters in the code, but honestly I don;t even know where to begin. Please share any Ideas you might have.

and then create a thread in the man creation and customization forum. with posts containing details, ideas, progress, requests, goals for next release etc. of what you have in mind.
Then wait for people getting interested.
You might want to form a team consinsting of a grahics, a programmer and a writer/designer guy.
