Should we research Flight or go straight to Marines?
Who we will DoW? The council or GONG? The Council lacks rubber and weak compared to our military streng.

Gong is closer to a cultural victory than anyone else; I would favor attacking them.

Attacking Gong will probably force Babe to DoW on us. With luck, we could everyone involved in a 3 on 2 war; Geeks vs. Grunts.

Be nice to coordinate an attack on Gong with someone else.

General Notes and Plans
We learn Steel. We begin to learn Combustion in 6 turns.

It took me a while to figure out what Kunigas was doing with the worker stacks. Each is a stack of 10 workers. Five of them plant a forest, which replaces the current improvement (mines). Two chop that forest, which sends 10 sheilds to the nearest city. The last 3 replace the mine. Doing it all in one turn means we don't lose any production sheilds from the mine. Neat trick.

We have two roaming workers. Forgive me, but I just moved them 2SW of the capital and fortified them.

Our five new Infantry moved to Gun-Free, Farkle Liberation, Jungle-Free, Unshackled and Debt-Free, all along the northwestern coast. Only Weltonspolt and Coastal Geeks need vInf defenders. Do we want to garrison our interior cities?

Lydia Sutherland, with W017 aboard, is three turns from Sid City on 11NW. We have 7 tiles to go to sail into the city. In two turns she will be adjacent to Sid City, so we could wake W017 and move him ashore. But he can't move until the following turn, so that doesn't really gain us anything.

We are still in our Golden Age.

We have severl Mace along the south shore. Upgrade to vInf?

Increase Science to 80% and we learn Combustion in 4 turns; +19 gpt.

In Debt-Free (aqueduct in 1) cop and hardhat become geeks for one turn, while the aqueduct completes.
That doesn't work in Jungle-Free (aqueduct in 1).
But it does in Vista-Free (aqueduct in 1), as one hardhat goes geek.

MedInf don't upgrade to infantry. Instead they upgrade to Guerrillas. Now that we have Wall Street, stock exchanges aren't necessary because we aren't running a high gold slider. We could even sell the ones we already have.

Pollution South of Cat Ballou.

Game froze about halfway through the turn. Had to reboot and redo.

Our three new Infantry moved to Weltonspolt, Coastal Geeks and 3NW of Weltonspolt.

We have some beaches that can be invaded without entering our territorial waters. These beaches, all in the NW, will be the next place to put vInfantry.

I'm not sure yet on how to best use it. Unlike the previous map that Kuningas made for which tiles to mine/irrigate/build cities, in this case the terrain does not change from one turn to the next.

I'm planning next turn (186) to use yellow dots to indicate forests harvested on that turn. Then on Turn 187 I change those yellow dots to red dots and then add more yellow dots.

This is an open question:

What is our next big step?

Some things to consider:
Our military is getting stronger.
We are learning like crazy, even without our Golden Age.
We are rather isolated internationally. We are not talking to The Council or Saber. We are not talking to Gong or Babe either.
We have techs to trade with just about everybody, if the price were right. (Imagine what Babe would give us to ally with them against The Council.)
How do we want to win? Spaceship looks good, but is iffy until we know where all the resources are located. I don't think anyone will win via the UN. Gong has a good headstart on a culture victory. Domination or Conquest will require help from somebody, though we could hire an ally.

Looking for ideas, no matter how crazy :crazyeye: or off the wall they may sound. :D

I think regardless of victory, killing GONG would be good for territory and science farms. Then, it would take BABEland and a bit of SABER to win via domination. If we could get MA for BABE and SABER, the war would be easy if they only have infantry and tanks.

I think regardless of victory, killing GONG would be good for territory and science farms. Then, it would take BABEland and a bit of SABER to win via domination. If we could get MA for BABE and SABER, the war would be easy if they only have infantry and tanks.

I don't think council should take on BABE, BABE has too strong a military. It's just too risky. Here is what I think we should do, ask the council for an alliance against GONG,:deadhorse: but we should through only 40-50% of our offensive units. We need to keep some for a possible BABE or SABER attack. No matter what we do I think we need to go to war.:king:

I think we should go for Mass Production. Then to Motorized Transport. We'll need more tanks than Bombers, and we could trade for Flight easier.

Indeed. We can go for a mass tanks buildup. and leave a couple of Infantrys to guard homeland. Though I think GONG/SABER/BABE have their coast tiles blocked. so Marines are needed to get on the land.

General Notes and Plans
We learn Combustion and begin to learn Mass Production in 4 turns at current science.

Gratis grows a settler, but I'm not sure what to do with it. Join to a city or save for overseas expansion? Fortify it west of Freedom Central.

We are negative gold per turn right now. I'll let that continue so we can milk our Golden Age on science. At 70% we learn MP in 4 turns also, +134 gold. I hoping that running in the red this turn and next turn will save a turn in research once our Golden Age is over (next turn).

Our Golden Age ends on Turn 189. I don't know exactly when: at the start of the turn or at the end of it.

Teal domination and Lake Port are both starving, but are in no danger of shrinking.

When you paste pictures into Paint, try resizing the image first - there's a LOT of extraneous whitespace in the latest pics in this thread.

My default image size in Paint is small, about the size of a postage stamp, so anything I paste into Paint expands the borders without any white space around the edges.

Let's begin to build ships. Cruiser is a good one. Destroyers are crab we don't need many of them. We have several sea based cities that can work ships rightaway.
