I checked the walthrough thread, but to my dismay, there is no walkthrough in there. Is there anywhere I could go for some beginner tips on AOI?

Also, is it normal that my AOI sprites intermittently change btw. their AOI appearances and vanilla equivalents? Is there a patch to fix this?
