Hello,

Civilization newbie here. Looking forward to see what all the hooplah is about. :D
Just purchased the "Sid Meier's Civilization IV Complete"

Placed the DVD into my DVD drive then ....nothing.
Checked to see if my PC had any disk emulator things (PowerISO,etc) uninstalled them.
Asked the 2K customer service which he replied with 'CD must be at fault here, take it back to the store and contact us if they will not replace it'
I tried on my laptop and the DVD player was reading the Game-DVD without any problems.
So the DVD is fine just that my PCs DVD-rom is not reading it...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My PC spec is as follows:
AMD XP @ 2.2Ghz
Windows XP SP2
2GB RAM
512MB X1600Pro
DVD-Rom LG

*all drivers are updated
*Direct X = recent

Did you manage to fix this? If so, how?

welcome to cfc :)
just checking - at what point does your drive not read it? can you install but not play - or can you not install?
also:
is your dvd drive firmware updated? are you using a user account with administrator rights?
