I have downloaded and installed a number of fall from heaven mods and they do not work. Of the few I have, the 2 030 and 2 032 let me into the menu, but when the game is about to start loading, it crashes. I like the game, but its annoying me that I cant get it to work, and all the downloads are taking up memory. Can someone help me please!?

2. The mod loads okay, but when you go to start a game it crashes. You experience this error if you aren't running BtS patch 3.13.

Well I need specific questions to be of any use to you. Have you verified that you have 3.13 patch for BtS installed? Preferably the one which you can download via the link in the guide.

Precisely when does it crash? During the opening movie? After it? Do you have the movies turned off? Do you click on "Start Game" and then see a progress bar for loading, followed by a crash a little later, or does it immediately crash upon clicking?

:assimilate: In my game, it crashes as soon as I press Start Game at the difficulty select screen, or even randomly when selecting entries in the civopedia.

Randomly, as in going back and selecting the same things might not crash it again? Or as in, there are some things you can click, some you definitely cannot?


Have you modified anything in the files? And has the game ever run for you before?

Well, versions 0,23 throught to version 0.31 have all worked for me, no I haven't modified any file (I wouldn't know where to look if I wanted to, and random entries in civopedia causes crashes, not specific ones.

That;s somewhat peculiar sounding then. You obviously have BtS patched to 3.13 if earlier versions have worked for you. With crashes from the Civilopedia, I would be inclined to guess that you might have installed the patch, and not the full Mod (could be worth re-installing 32), but I would have expected that to mean a reliable set of entries you can click on to get the crash to occur.

:hammer2::blush: Seems I downloded the game to a disk, then forgot to copy the game to the computer, so while it was installed, the game wasn't actually on the computor. I feel foolish, ang very chagrined.
