The province of Ameri (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27900) has been the only province providing fighter aircraft for the National Air Force in the past 45 years. More of such aircraft are to be built in the following years, and our scientists inform us that we are on the verge of discovering a new, more advanced, type of aircraft. Our fine province will, of course, adapt to these circumstances and modernize our facilities to produce these new aircraft.

In light of all this, I recommend you consider moving the National Air Force Headquarters to Ameri. Philadelphia seems like a nice enough place.

As a resident of Philadelphia, I fully encourage the NAF to consider a base here. It is time our city is the base of something!

But we are currently foreseeing the progress of the movement of the entire HQ to the Province of Asphinxia. As Mayor of Elephantine, a major Tank Production Center, I am definitely in! Now, where do I lobby for big meaty expensive projects for my city? Preferably big military industrial projects with all-expense paid junkets to Fox Nest and "conferences' in Sunshine Beach :)

I think another goal of ours should be related to technology. We will soon have rocketry (2 turns, I think). Upgrading our fighters to jet fighters now will ready us for any sneak attacks any other nation plans. Also, the Stealth tech would grant us Stealth bombers and fighers.

Of course, Robotics grants us Aegis Cruisers, whatever they do...

We don't need an NAF branch in San Francisco. San Francisco is preparing to start producing navy units in the near future, as soon as its Factory and Harbor are built.

Philadelphia is the Air Force center of Ameri, and may I also say, the entire Phoenatica, though others may disagree. :)

If such a combinaton occurs, a most certainly peculiar set of events shall occur. A group of scholars combined with pilots and sailors will never do well.

And the result will most certainly not have my support, for I hold dear the idea that military should not be directly linked with science, and except to save lives, any military application of a technology is a perversion of good minds and hard work.

This term was rocky. We had a bad start. The UPSV has refused to merge with us. I say its a lost opportunity for Phoenatica.(Almightyjosh, put this quote in your ashpinxian weekly times.)
But even though we started off bad, it doesnt mean we stay bad.
We now have a new member, jdd2007. the reason im posting him in my speech is because he is different. Because of him, we now have connections to APOLYTONIA!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

Delphi County (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27761) is the tourist center of Phoenatica. It would be more logical for you to establish a permanent home in the Province of Ameri (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27900) and a summer home in Delphi. The prices are sky high there, though. I would recommend the beautiful (and cheap) coastal town of Paville instead, but... :)

I suggest you take a look at the map of Phoenatica (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads/phoenatica-1760ad.jpg) and decide for yourself.

finally, some good useful information! clarification: my official embassy is in Fox Nest, but much of the real -work- i do here is in thebes. i have a beautiful little summer place in paville, and a house in delphi where i live often (your government pays for it:))

remember, i only stay in Phoenatica for a few months a year. apolyton is my real home...

There are war factories in Heliopolis, Kashmir. Come anytime you like, jdd. Heliopolis is north of Delphi County. Of course, no photography inside the factories.

it can get confusing, both me and disorganiser run around promoting our cities, Thebes and Delphi, so much that you could be excused for thinking one was the capitol!! (when I say 'our' I mean we are the mayors of the respective cities)

Of cource, Thebes is the best city in the country and capital of commence and science (though Arrakis and Memphis may have something to say about that...). Why would anyone want to live anywhere else??

Then we will close all the doors.....(sad really) but once the new game starts, we will reopen with all our members and possibly some of our supporters, and our goals.

REGARDING THE CIVIL WAR-
I will remove the HQ to its real home, in Free Delphi.

The Civil War- Boyee i am confused. The NAFN will now remain in Heliopolis, Kashmir. We will regain staff positions and members will be back. I will run the NAFN as long as we pretend that when it comes to where you reside and your job here there is no civil war.

I am very sad to see one of Asphinxia's childern fall so far. I would have thought the NAFN would be proud to support it's home province, the NAFN was born in Thebes and Asphinxians were among it's first and most fevernet supporters. Most of the world's jets and bombers come from Thebes!!

Raven1er, no doubt you devided not to expell all Easterners when you realised that would leave ONLY you and Zarn as members.

EDIT: actually, as Kashmir is also of the east, you and Zarn would also not be elligable. The NAFN would cease to exist. Silly idea, wasn't it?

Asphinxia and it's citizens, myself included, have always supported you in whatever endevours you have undertaken. To ask 'what have we ever done for you' is totally unwarrented. I tell you now, an Asphinxian heritage is not lightly thrown aside. It is one thing to move away for a reason, such as gaining a job elsewhere (in fact, Asphinxia has supported any citizen wanting to get a job anywhere in the nation), it is quite another to leave out of spite and sever your ties entirely.

I am not a hard man, and I understand you may be confused due to all the fighting, so I will give you a chance at redemption. Though I do not expect a personal appology for the afront, not can I force you to accept your heritage proud as it is, I would ask that you acknowledge the wrongful nature of your actions towards Asphinxia and the east. Fail to do this, an you will not again be welcome in the province that helped put you on the political map.

I am not talking about the rebellion at all. I am talking about Raven treating Asphinxia with disrespect that is not deserved. My post merely states that we have done everything possible for Raven, and it is not fair that he repays us by repeatedly insulting Asphinxia, Asphinxians (general and specific) and all epople from the east (of which he is one btw, and so are you Zarn).

I also noted what a silly idea it was to try and expell all easterners from the NAFN, as all members of the NAFN are easterners. I have asked Raven to apologise to Asphinxia, or face banishment forever.

Well, if you think about it, we both put him in a bad position. I want him with the Domestic Department, the PDA, and maybe even sign up with the military alliance. You want him to join the Easterners and break up with the Domestic Department, etc.... Personally, I think there is probaly more pressure on him than dis.

That is why I am not getting really angry, yet. Even being under pressure, however, cannot excuse all of the things he has said. Rather than just picking a side like everyone else, he had to be mindlessly offensive about it. But, I'm not saying any more until he has a chance to respond.

I realise you are neutral and that is fine, but for all intents and purposes you are a UEP member and will be protected accordingly. The NAFN has been declared neutral and has been moved to the safest offices we could find inside the Forbidden Palace. Though the alliances and counter-alliances are confusing, at the moment is is basically everyone v dis. This is a workable but uneasy alliance, and I would only ask that you use your influence within the domestic department to strengthen this alliance.
