Here's the map I've got so far:

180269

To Do List:

1) Add Aniyonego, Nimiipu, Piliwni, Tupi, Yanomami civs.

2) Have each civ start with a pre-made city with some improvements and units.

3) European civs start with a settler/crossbowman/worker/scout in their historical first settlements (in addition of the European capitals of course)

4) Fix some map areas like the St. Laurance water way (too wide at the moment) while keeping Montreal open to the sea, the state of Maine and California areas.

5) Improve resources for game play. My thought is that all lux resources will be in the New World except for maybe wine. Happiness in the Capital will require trading or conquering more. Also add horses to new world.

6) Try to remember who actually made the New World map for me so I can give them credit. I added the European capitals.

7) Enlist the help of any one interested so as to avoid possible unemployment, divorce and destitution.

Here's version 2 of the map with #1 on my to do list completed.

180359

When can you start? NOW! This map is playable so download and give it a try. I just put it in the public map folder of my CivGold mod folder. To play just pick play scenario. If you have specific feed back let me know and I'll try to fix by version 3. If you have serious changes in mind feel free to modify the map and PM your version to me.

I meant the in-game start date.

Right now I have the Era set to Renaissance so the game date starts in the late 1500's but I haven't done any adjusting of the date of game turns yet so that is kind of arbitrary. All European civs start with techs up that time while native people are still somewhere in the classical era as far as techs go.
