I've lost the Civilization IV CD, so all I can use is the Civilization IV: Warlords program, which has no tutorial. I'd really like to go back and study the tutorial again. Is there any way to download the tutorial for Warlord use?

edit: oh, and I'd like to mention that I'd prefer not to have to read a whole walk through. It's not the reading I don't mind. It's just I'd like to be able to play Civ IV while reading, and experiencing first hand what their talking about...

I was wondering if someone could possibly answer my question... please? :hmm:

Also I was wondering if the tutorial in the Civ4 demo is the same as the tutorial in the actual game? If it is, forget the CD, I'll just download the demo. ;)

I don't think there is, your either gonna have to find the C.D. or hope its on the demo, and the tutorial has you do what Sid says instead of like the Europa Universals that just tells you things.

An older strategy game, i have a lot of friends who like EU who also like Civ so i thought you might have played it and i could compare tutorials, but since you haven't the Civ IV tut has Sid telling you to do random things so you actually learn how to play the game, but the only way to learn warlords or BTS concepts is by the civilpedia.

Please, a forum is not a bot answering all the time. You just waited 1 hour, have you considered the fact that perhaps no one knows the answer to your question ?

I know, I know, I was just in a rush to learn this... I don't have much time to play this game anymore, and my window of opportunity was passing me by.

And besides, I figured it was such an easy answer that easily 100 people in a minute could answer it. I'm just a newbie to Civ-strategy. I've played Civ4 for so long, and have learned and lot and have excelled. I've just never really payed much attention to strategy.

Sorry, if I seemed too impatient.

The tutorial won't give you any useful strategy tips, aside from stuff like "avoid angry citizens" and "try to make sure most of your resources are being worked by cities". It mainly focuses on how to move units around, how to change production, how to give orders to your workers and so on.

Download (http://www.atomicgamer.com/file.php?id=36956) and install demo version. You'll be able to play the tutorial

And yes, the tutorial is the same, as in the original game.

The tutorial is fairly bad, though. If you're looking to play around with something or get a better grasp of mechanics, it's better just to play around on a low difficulty. I learned more from my first few games on settler than from the tutorial.
