PBEM DD06: Going Home Parameters

Storyline: Your home world is dying due to an uncontrolled plague. You are 1 of 4 (6) leaders of a planetary colonization expedition with the balance of your colonists in stasis. While the team is reviewing the planetary survey, your ship is mortally damaged by a Cosmic String (think Titanic versus Iceberg). You and your shipmates quickly begin the procedures to separate the ship into the 4 (6) landing pods and to begin your descent to your new home world. Just as you are completing the separation check-list the mother ships’ computer informs you that a chemical has been discovered on the planet that will cure the plague back home. You now have the chance to be the savior to the billons left behind on your home world. All you need to do is tame this new world and construct a space ship to return home.

Actually, I stopped playing GOTM last month which was about 45 hours a month, so I'm switching over to playing PBEM games. I'm running 3 right now with another one about to start. I've also joined one started by Soul_Warrior. I'll probably get up to about 7-8(which is about an hour a night) when I stop joining. I had a business trip recently and spent the 2 hour airport delay, so I started thinking up plans for games (right now I've got 27 ideas).

My next one (Clash of the Titans) is about to be announced and it'll be a very bloody one with a pair of Allied SID AI (with a couple of additional goodies) against 4 Humans with Conquest or Domination being the only victory conditions.

Could you please switch me with calis or soul. Also post those was it 37 game ideas and we can vote on the best.

I have a few PBEM at the Bottom of the PBEM page that aren't filled.

Here's the list (so far) of PBEM games that I've thought about doing. Some may not work as I'm learning what the editor can and cannot do. Games like the one with Dinosaurs will probably require either having the players download a file or have PTW.

Wow, I thought you said that there was no war is this game, witch you posted about in the DD12 PBEMs.

I don't plan on any war in this game, but it hasn't been forbidden. I did say I'd be disappointed if there was only a single player building a spaceship in 1700 AD. The game will be started with only the Spaceship victory condition turned on.

Whats the DD_ mean.:confused: Does DD stand for Denyd? What the number after the DD for?

The DD is my initials (Deny D)
The numbers are from my list of games. It's easier to use DD04 than Clash of Titans for game naming. So when you save a game DD06-Remake20-3000BC.sav is an easy naming convention to use.

isnt DD the Gordon Sumner twins, in the power of 2, doubled? :confused:

I'm making a Star Trek Game, I' going to put up a PBEM forum when it's closer to being done. I'll edit this post later with updates.

As I thought of the idea I added it to the list and created a word doc for most of them with descriptions and parameters. Later as I reviewed them and looked at the editor I adjusted the order, but since I had already created the word doc, I didn't want to change the number.

I had a RL interruption tonight as we had an unplanned trip to Disneyland (I know your all thinking "poor guy") so I wasn't able to get to finishing the game setup, but I should be able to complete it tomorrow night.

I dont understand why I have recieved a 3950bc save from Calis and not a 4000bc save. When I try to open the save my password doesn't work.

It's normal for the Admin (me) to play turn 1 by setting the passwords and verifying the starting location, units, gold, etc.

My computer got a virus, and, after cleanup, Civ 3 no longer worked. I suspect some files were infected and deleted. I cannot uninstall and reinstall the game because I now lack the proper disks. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to drop out of this.
