what's yours????
The Last Conformist Jul 24, 2002, 11:32 AM Egypt gave me roughly 3k Gold plus 110GPT for Synthetic Fibers once. On the same turn I sold it to every other AI also, securing a total of well over 5k Gold and 300 GPT, plus a couple of luxuries.
During that game, I kept most of the AIs practically bancrupt throughout the Modern Times by selling them techs! The "deal" was roughly "I research, you pay". It left everybody happy except a) the Iroquois, who for some reason insisted on fighting continuously against me (they eventually lost all of their foreign conquests and bits of their homeland), and b) the rest of the AIs when I zoomed off to Alpha Centauri ...
Lt. 'Killer' M. Jul 24, 2002, 11:54 AM  here, The Iroqus declared war the next turn...... smart guy, Hiawatha, but he ahd a death wish :D
i had been wanting to do a all-tech-all-civ-assault, but hey, I can kill Riflemen easier than Mech Inf..... :mwaha:

Yup! By the way, if his nation is making 1000 golds per turn, I think he would gladly agree to give you 1000 golds per turn instead of that 350 gpt. In one of my game, India agreed to give me a huge amount of gpt in exchange for tech; of course, he declared war the next turn.:D I knew he was going to do that...since he looked so happy when he made the deal, I knew he was up to no good.
Lt. 'Killer' M. Jul 24, 2002, 01:01 PM Yeha, if they fork over huge sums per turn, but turn down 1 gpt in couteroffer you know what it will be....
Death wishes are common..... once you're over 3000 years old......

And it's funny that your advisor still knows they're going to turn it down. He must be a double agent

This sounds like my current game. I only hold a one tech lead over the three second place civs, but am bleeding them for 250, 300, and 230 gold per turn. For the late game experts, when will it be a good idea to stop selling the techs and try to push a greater lead? I'm drowning in gold, I can't spend it fast enough. But the neighbors will soon all have tanks... Or is it better to keep the spigot on their coffers wide open?
Killer, I see you offered two techs - I've never offered more than one on a single turn, and tend to make my luxury deals separate from techs. The best I've had was just last night. America offered to choke up 110gpt for motorized transportation and another 61gpt for rubber. India has been paying me over 200gpt since around 400ad (it's now 1120ad, anywhere from 4 to 6 trades at a given time).
My favorite deal, tho, is the 31gpt deal I have had with Persia since ~500bc. For IRON.  My recent purge of the Babylonians even left the Persians an iron in one of their border town radii, but they haven't cancelled the deal. :)
Solver Jul 25, 2002, 07:55 AM For one tech of Modern Age, about 3k gold at the moment, and close to 200 GPT. Hell, if you can get ahead in tech in Industrial, you can also guarantee noone else will have money.
