Intro

Blood and Conflict: The Pacific (1941-1945) is a PBEM game that will be played by several members of the NESing community. It revolves around the Scenario World War 2 in the Pacific, one of the additions from the Civilization 3: Conquests expansion pack, and will be played in the regular PBEM format. However, the players will add their own stories to reflect the events of the game, as well as role play diplomacy and other important actions. Thus, because of this addition, the game has been placed in the Stores and Tales section. It promises to be a fun and interesting game, so without further ado I introduce the cast.

The Cast

The United States of America: Jason the King
Great Britain: Pinman
China: EQandCivfanatic
Japan: Yui108
The Netherlands: AI

House Rules

1) Representing the historical reality of World War 2, razing will not be permitted.
2) Similarly, cities may not be transfered between allied parties, except in the case of a city being liberated from Japanese control. In that circumstance, the city may be restored to its former owner.
3) Obviously the Allies may not take any action on Turn 0.
4) Players must submit some sort of action report for their turn, but its format is up to them.
5) Allies may not steal technology from each other.
6) Once played, the save may never be reloaded for any purpose whatsoever.
7) Having fun is obligatory. :goodjob:

Additional Notes

AIM v6.0 is essential for all participants as a large portion of the PBEM part of the game will be conducted over Instant Messanger.

Alright I'll play the USA...though I haven't played civ3 in a very long time, I will more than likely be really rusty.

Too bad we couldn't get just a "fresh start" one going, or one based on a world map.

So I guess by the rules that we are role-playing this game? Does this mean staying historically accurate to what happened? Or can we mix this up a bit?

It can be mixed up, although we decided this would be better than a fresh start.

Yui I gave you instructions.

1) PBEM screen
2) Game mode- scenario
3) Number 9--> WW2 in the pacific
4) Give in player info

Won't work because player 1 needs to start it.

Ok, JTK's starting off the game. I guess if Pinman gets back on, he'll send it over AIM, if not, post the save here.

Japan Turn Log- Turn 0,Dec. 1941 A.D.

A new sun rises on Imperial Japanese History, and on the somewhat peaceful residents of Pearl Harbor. The Japanese Fleet, strikes, wiping out almost America’s entire navy and airforce in the key Pacific port. It is War in the Pacific! On other fronts, the Empire has met with great success seizing the vital cities of Hong Kong,Davou,Aparri,Rangoon,Bhuket, We have also seized several key fortresses and inroads into China, and we believe several of their main cities will be quick to fall.

A few British ports in Indonesia have put up stubborn resistance, but that is the only set back my forces have suffered this turn. Our generals have assembeled three main army task forces. Task Force A, supported by Mechanized Army 1, is proceeding up into Indochina, while Task Force B is proceeding through mainland China, and Task Force C is attacking the Phillipines.

For some reason everywhere else I can see my save file, yet on CFC I cannot. Therefore, I need to say JTK on aim.

Probably would've joined if my Civ3 Complete disk broke.

Unfortunately, can't find another one.

I like the idea! A four-person story, all from different civs, should be good, especially on this map. Looking forward to seeing how it pans out!

Thanks Quintuillis, even for the generic, ' man these story boards are inactive' post ;)
