When I started a new game (my first in 8 months), unpatched Warlords. Whenever I zoomed out I wouldn't see the terrain (green, forests, etc) but a lot of white. My people were veeery uneasy, especially after we met the Indians, ruled by Gandhi.

Then one day, after having explored more of the map, I zoomed out.. And I found out why Gandhi made me so uneasy!

That happens to me sometimes too when I play the "rise of Rome" mod. I see hannibal everywhere.

Happens to me all the time until I discover the compass, I think it is, and you get the world view unlocked.

It's a very common glitch. That happens to me in pretty much every game. >_<

If you are playing unpatched, then you may get some improvement if you patch Warlords to version 2.13. It also depends on your graphics hardware.

Oh definitely, I was just playing unpatched while the 841MB patch was downloading. And just playing in Mac while wiating to decide whether I should install bootcamp and Windows or not....

Had never seen that bug before though, I was shocked when I saw Gandi on my map! The outline of his body even closely matched the outline of the continent it was freaky..
