This map is based off of Terry Goodkinds' "Sword of Truth" series. This is a large map (89 x 52) with -9- playable Civs. These civs represent the -4- major civs and -5- of the minor civs that are found in the book.

This map is for Warlords, and was started on a mac, but finished on a pc.

Civs
D'hara = Kublai Khan (mongolian)
Midlands = Catherine (russian)
The Old World = Saladin (arabian)
Westlands = Mehmed II (ottoman)
Galea = Brennus (celts)
Kelton = Ragnar (vikings)
Nicobarese = Napolean (french)
Anderith = Cyrus (persian)
Mud People = Huayna Capac (incan)

*The only things i've edited are the names of the Civs and the leader names.*

Here are some screen shots of the map. I've also added landmark signs for the major features and areas from the books.

Okay so i fixed my error. In trying to erase an extra start point, i accidentally saved over my save file with a game in progress, then loaded that saved game up. :blush:

So here it is...fixed and ready.

There are 2 ways to mod Civ IV: using the world builder and using XML coding. I'm not familiar with using the XML at the moment, however here's a link to some videos on here that show you how to mod in XML.

Using the world builder is a lot easier, but you can only do minor modding: creating maps, changing the names of civs/leaders, adding units. I used this method to create my map and I used this manual to do it.

Hope this helps out!

in the manual starting on page 23, it talks about accessing the actual save file with NOTEPAD and editing names and other starting information. this is how i changed the leader names/cities/etc. it's an easy read and easy to do once you know what you're doing. ;)
