Am I the only one who finds a peaceful diplo victory almost impossible? Yesterday I played a noble game as Darius, raced ahead of everyone in tech, and had the UN built by 1720s. I had never DOW'd on anyone, was runing free religion and 5 out of 7 on pleased with me, and the other two on cautious. I had medicine too and had some pretty huge cities for th era, 25, 23 and 22, out of the 8 I had, the smallest was 15 pop. I went for the diplo victory but only got half the viotes i needed, even the civs on pleased just abstained, and my huge opopulaiton was nowhere near big enough to swing it in my favour. Can this be done without a few vassalls and destroying potential enemies?

I have never managed UN victory without vassalls, who wants a peaceful pansy running things anyway!!
