i hit download on the mod then a screen comes up that says, would you like to save or open this file. When i open it it opens in windows media player and then the player can't read it??:confused: Am i doing this wrong?? If i have to save it where do i save it at?

Different mods have different install methods. Which mod are you having problems with?

If I understand you correctly you are opening the file though your browser. Save it to the disk instead. You may also need winrar.
