Hey! my first post here so bear with me!

First of all I have to say big thanks for the developers of this mod, I think it's really interesting and it refreshes the game when you've played it too much already!

There are, however, two features that I dont like and I was wondering if it's possible to disable them in any way. These are the following:

6 wonder limit in one town

and marble needing techs to discover.

I might be an idiot not fully realizing how these two features make the addon a whole lot better but it simply doesnt fit me and I would like to disable them if it's possible...?

Also I tried to install the "extra civ addon package" for RoM from here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=9363

But it didnt work for me, when I loaded the addon I got errors saying files were bad or missing which resulted in the game crashing before I could load the addon fully. I'm using RoM 2.2 and 3.17 BTS patch perhaps the package isnt compatible with that?

Thanks in advance!

1 - For the wonder limit:
Go to the Rise of Mankind\assets\xml folder. Open the file GlobalDefines.xml in Notepad. Search for the following.

<Define>
<DefineName>MAX_WORLD_WONDERS_PER_CITY</DefineName>
<iDefineIntVal>4</iDefineIntVal>
</Define>

change 4 to -1. This will remove the limit.

2 - For the marble reveal tech:
Go to Rise of Mankind\assets\xml\terrain folder open file Civ4BonusInfos.xml in Notepad. Search for.

<BonusInfo>
<Type>BONUS_MARBLE</Type>

Few lines under that find this:

<TechReveal>TECH_MASONRY</TechReveal>

Change it into:

<TechReveal>NONE</TechReveal>

Thank you so much for the help!

I will definately try this out once I'm done with my current project, me and my brother are playing the GEM (Giant Earth Mao) 32 players on a massive scaled map, the africa continent alone is roughly as big as a Pangaea on largest size (non-modded civ).

The game speed "odyssey" is insanely slow we've done soon 400 turns but are still a hundred years or so BC. Anyway really funny map, especially if youi have a friend to play with!

Just being curious, what is the configurations of your PCs and how the game is performing so far?

Do you mean on the computer I'm using whilst playing the GEM? Well, I'm using my brother's comp so not entirely sure but he is running on maximum graphic settings I'm quite sure. His computer is two years old or so with a 2.2 duo processor, 2GB ram, with a slightly better graphic card than mine (I'm using NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900)

Anyway it's basically running perfect on his computer, everything is smooth and there is no lagg or anything like that whatsoever save for a few seconds freeze when you trade world maps (figures doesn't it, heh)

I'm using a laptop, Dell XPS m1710 and I haven't touched the performance settings in CIV so I'm using the default options and the game runs smooth on my computer as well although I haven't tried the GEM yet. I do have 2GB ram and a 2.0 duo processor.

Hope I answered your question!

You did answered my question. Thanks :)

I was asking because I've tried GEM and it seemed to lag noticeably on turn ends. I have two machines both have 3.4 Core2 Duo processors. One has 2GB Ram the other has 4 GB. One has NVidia 7200 but the other has NVidia 8500!! I must be doing something wrong.
