Do the Spanish, who start with Mysticism & Fishing, have the best chance everytime to found either Buddism or Hinduism?
I've found if I start as this civ, you start off and can study the tech's for Budda or Hindu immediately.
Often you can start with access to crabs or clams. As you start with Fishing you can immediately use these and get 2 gold (not Fin, dammit!) without having to put out a worker yet. Otherwise you need land resources like oasis etc. to compensate.
But what I've found, is that more often that not, I can found one of the two early religion's most times; if I have access to any raw tile that gives me 2 coins off the bat. If there two of these tiles next to your start, you normally have a good chance of founding the first religion at population 2.
It may be an initial sacrifice for hammer's, but if you're Spanish and want to guarantee a founded religion, it is an option that can be explored. If you don't have the early raw tiles, then you might still have a chance, but overall will be consigned to an otherwise mediocre civ!
It seems funny in a historical sense that the Spanish in this game aways tend to be Hindu or Buddist, but does anyone else feel that overall this civ has the best average chance of founding an early religion in BtS? :worship:
