I went to the Aspyre site but its not clear, is there one patch to bring the fresh install up to date? Or do I have to install all patches in order? it's not even clear where to get a full list of patches.

If you just have Civ4, not Warlords, then you only need a single patch to update it to version 1.74. Here's a link to the patch (http://www.macgamefiles.com/detail.php?item=19218).

If you look at the Aspyr site (http://www.aspyr.com/software/news/5/169), you'll see that it links to the place AlanH gave you.

Aspyr and other game companies use MacGameFiles rather than dealing with the hassle of having enough bandwidth to satisfy gamers every time they have a patch.
