Rather then just posting this in the suggestions thread I figured I'd make a thread about it the idea would be different looking same stats units for almost all factions. There are tons of world war 2 era units lying around in the units forum. I could help you find them if you like.

Some units just kind of annoy me like german infantry with extremely rare paratrooper light mg's and french infantry with american uniforms and american infantry with officers dress uniforms. If you've ever seen any of the bts graphics mods like diversica or varietas you know what I mean.

Doesn't Road to War already have nation specific units (for most nations anyway)? You can see it has Chinese early infantry, American improved infantry, German infantry, etc.

Perhaps this could be done as an add-on to the add-on, because I think the rationale given some time ago was that adding too many unique units would cause trouble for the size of the download file.

He doesnt mean add more units, but to change what the current ones look like, and I agree, its annoying to look at the american units, and the german guns the infantry carry don't make sense because it wasnt a common weapon.

It wouldn't add more then probably 50 mbs to the download. And Cham you are correct.

why not being a bit more helpful and also make the research work for Dale? Something like this:

Quite simply, I can't do graphics. And I have no intention of trying to learn graphics.

But, if like Coyote mentioned a list is made, it makes my life easy and I'm inclined to do it.

I'm a very lazy man. ;)

Nice! If Dale were to give the go-ahead, that'd make a great addition, though it'd be best if they weren't actual separate units, but reskins (like Firaxis did in the BtS expansion).

if people want to make nation specific marine's and paratroopers i would be glad it seems surreal a 15 strength paratrooper and as a main unit 25 strenght and makes the para's and marines to fast outdated before you can use them proper you need 50 bombers and more fighters to land in three paratrooper squad's that kinda sucks
about rtw i can only say one thing great game but two places i find it that i can be better the europe map i find small and the damm marine's and para's
