I have the install that does CIVIII, PTW and Conquests. I have trouble on many occasions that it freezes my entire laptop. I can't even move my mouse or CNTRL_ALT_DEL to see what is going on. I have to hard reboot to restart. I have a dell M6300 with 3.5MB Ram and an NVidia Quadro with lots.

Has anyone experienced this?

Could it be that the game's default resolution is too low for the screen you have?

It certainly changes the default resolution to a lot less than normal... mmmm. Could that be the problem? I'll test setting my resolution to match the game prior to startup.

Which OS are you running? If it's Vista, try setting the compatability to Windows XP SP2. If it's a 64-bit OS, then that's most likely the problem, since not all older 32-bit games work properly on 64-bit systems.
