View Full Version : Saved Game Location: Civ3Complete on Vista? joebazda Jul 11, 2008, 11:16 PM As the title suggests, I have Civ 3 Complete on my Vista, I just I don't know where the saved games are stored. Someone know where they are? Thanks, Joe Macezek Jul 12, 2008, 10:51 AM Because of User Account Control (UAC) your files are taken to another folder. UAC protects anything in the Program Files directory by taking any files that can be modified and puts them in your Users directory. Your Civ3 saves are in your Users directory, somewhere in one of the folders there. I disabled UAC on my computer so I don't know what the exact path would be, if there's someone else who runs Civ3 on Vista with UAC enabled and you know the location of your saves, then post it here please. joebazda Jul 12, 2008, 12:21 PM Well, it turns out I got lucky, and found where they are while looking for another file. Anyone looking for Saves on Vista with UAC, they are here: Hard Disk (C:/) > Users > [UserName] > AppData > Local > VirtualStore > Program Files(x86) > Firaxis Games > Civilization III Complete > Conquests > Saves Thanks Macezek for the heads up about the UAC ;) |
