Hi all!

I have two questions I didn't manage to find the answer for.
I'm playing BTW 13.17 version.

First, at some point, all my temples, monasteries and such started to give 2 hammers each and I can't figure out why. I checked the civics, technologies and wonders I got and none of them seems to give that. Anyone has a clue?

Second, what does 'obsolate' mean exactly? If my monasteries go obsolate (scientific method), do I still get those hammers from them? Culture? Sci bonus? I know by experience that I'll be able to train missionaries still.

Thanks in advance.

All religious buildings (such as temples and monasteries) of the Apostolic Palace religion give you 2 hammers.

It means you can't build them anymore, and some (if not all) of their effects don't work anymore. For example, obsoleted monasteries don't give +10% science anymore, and obsoleted castles no longer give +1 trade route. You still need monasteries to build missionaries though, so always remember to build enough of them before researching sci. method. EDIT: I'm not sure about the culture bonus.

An obsolete building does still produce culture. Otherwise i think Zanttu pretty much answered your questions.
