DWOLF Jul 17, 2008, 09:06 PM Hey this is pretty good, although his cover looks like a baseball cap...thanks dutchking :goodjob:
dutchking Jul 17, 2008, 09:18 PM Its Bismarck's Pickelhaube. ;)
Thank you for the compliment. :p
DWOLF Jul 17, 2008, 09:27 PM Its Bismarck's Pickelhaube. ;)
If you hadn't told me, I would have never guess
now that you're in the business of making LH's again, may I suggest Erwin Rommel, perhaps the most famous German Field Marshal of World War II
MadmanOfALeader Jul 17, 2008, 10:23 PM This is the guy who appointed Hitler chancellor. Shame on him!
There's just something about his suit. I just can't put my finger on it... the buttons, probably.
But I gotta say, with thise dude, Adenauer, and you-know-who, we're getting the party started when it comes to Deutschen leaders. Probably need Helmut Kohl, (he was Germany's second longest-serving chancellor ,and was there when the Berlin wall crashed) and Angela Merkel, just to have a reasonably well-know female German leader.
So get out the beer and lederhosen, it's Oktoberfest. And who doesn't love everybody's favorite party game, "Flog the Führer"?

Sounds very appealing. I'll get working on it as my next project.
And btw Madman, to a lot of Germans von Hindenberg was the only shield left between Hitler and the chancellorship, when he died Hitler seized the moment and took 100% control of everything. So I wouldn't say shame.
DWOLF Jul 17, 2008, 11:37 PM You're the best :woohoo:
dutchking Jul 17, 2008, 11:43 PM Thanks. ;)
And to elaborate on that Hindenburg-Hitler relationship:
In a meeting between Hindenburg and Hitler held on 13 August 1932, in Berlin, Hindenburg firmly rejected Hitler's demands for the Chancellorship.
The minutes of the meeting were kept by Otto Meißner, the Chief of the Presidential Chancellery. According to the minutes:
“ Herr Hitler declared that, for reasons which he had explained in detail to the Reich President that morning, his taking any part in cooperation with the existing government was out of the question. Considering the importance of the National Socialist movement, he must demand the full and complete leadership of the government and state for himself and his party.
The Reich President in reply said firmly that he must answer this demand with a clear, unyielding No. He could not justify before God, before his conscience, or before the Fatherland the transfer of the whole authority of government to a single party, especially to a party that was biased against people who had different views from their own. There were a number of other reasons against it, upon which he did not wish to enlarge in detail, such as fear of increased unrest, the effect on foreign countries, etc.
Herr Hitler repeated that any other solution was unacceptable to him.
To this the Reich President replied: "So you will go into opposition?"
Hitler: "I have now no alternative".[3]
DWOLF Jul 17, 2008, 11:53 PM very interesting...
Wolfshanze Jul 18, 2008, 01:34 AM now that you're in the business of making LH's again, may I suggest Erwin Rommel, perhaps the most famous German Field Marshal of World War II
I can't believe this forum!
We've got some members making Hitler (the Leader of Germany), into a Civ4 Great General...
...and now we've got some members asking to make Rommel (the Greatest General of Germany), into a Civ4 Leader of Germany!
You guys keep getting everything all backwards! http://forums.profantasysports.com/images/smiles/DOH.GIF
DWOLF Jul 18, 2008, 02:03 AM well don't you know?
it's opposite day

I think he looks quite good (and so does your background info; Hindenburg had no particular liking for Herr Hitler and, unlike most of the military, wasn't very impressed by his "Fuhrer" qualities. One of the few examples of a military statesman, a rare combination indeed.):goodjob:
PW90 Jul 18, 2008, 08:12 AM Excellent work :goodjob:
Wolfshanze Jul 18, 2008, 12:36 PM Actually, looks like Hindenburg needs to lay-off the fatty foods! :D
dutchking Jul 18, 2008, 12:38 PM Its not funny wolf. You killed it 6 months ago, please, stop.
And thanks PW90.
Wolfshanze Jul 18, 2008, 12:41 PM Its not funny wolf. You killed it 6 months ago, please, stop.
I'll bet someone will laugh... I did at least... you're just a killjoy! Lighten up!
GOBLES Jul 18, 2008, 12:45 PM I gotta admit, I did smile when I saw Wolf's post...
dutchking Jul 18, 2008, 01:03 PM I'll bet someone will laugh... I did at least... you're just a killjoy! Lighten up!
Lighten up my ass.
Its annoying, I'm asking you nicely to please stop spamming my threads and other threads with the "all of your threads blow up" crap and the "its fat" crap, please.
Xenomorph Jul 19, 2008, 01:10 AM I have to say that he's really not up to snuff compared to your previous leaderheads. His clothes are flat and lack the detail to actually make them appear like cloth. The eagle on the helmet doesn't 'stick out' from the helmet like you would expect it would. The helmet probably just needs some bump mapping, but his clothes really need to be fleshed out more.
Wolfshanze Jul 19, 2008, 03:06 AM ...ass... annoying... crap... crap...
...I'm asking you nicely...

dutchking Jul 19, 2008, 10:20 AM http://homepage.mac.com/danielblanchette/images/einsteinshow.php.jpg
Okay, I laughed at that, but really please stop all that other stuff.
Xenomorph Jul 19, 2008, 11:21 AM I don't get it.
Huayna Capac357 Jul 20, 2008, 05:33 PM I think the hat and clothes and especially the background need more detail, but this is a great LH, instantly recognizable! :goodjob:
JEELEN Jul 21, 2008, 08:37 PM I don't get it.
I don't blame you. The humour is in Einstein's face, obviously. The joke is on Wolfshanze, who replaced the text on the blackboard with his own - as it's not Einstein's handwriting. (Would be funnier with the original text, though.):mischief:
