Jeese. I mean on Emperor and above every single comp player is just ready to go.
I was just playing an immortal game as Germany and of course waited to make my move with panzers. Its continents but I'm on a continent with 7 (originally 9) civs. 2 weak and the rest are comparable. So anyway, somehow Alexander was friendly with me and I convince him to attack the points leader at the time, Hannibal. He has a vassal. Then Qi Shi (2nd place, 1 vassal) attacks alex (i'm between the two position-wise and Alex has like four cities from a previous war right next to QI Shi from an old war). So I'm of course already outnumbered (I only had like 10 panzers at the start) but I have to go help Alex before I get double teamed so I declare war on China and then the Mongols, as usual, declare war on me. Followed by Survy (the last neutral on the continent) coming to my aide and the rest of the world (2 civs) declaring war on me and Alex. How ironic, I started a world war with Germany in the industrial era, but I did buck the trend and actually won.
It was the largest war I ever fought (1868-1921 on the slowest game speed).
421 military units killed, 50 lost, almost 150 manufactured and 24 cities were taken (a few mine but I got em back). And those were just the battles I was involved in directly. Alex and Survy did almost half the fighting on both fronts. So about 600-700 units and Alex took 5 cities and survy 1 so 30 cities. I had to go into total war mode: Police, Nationalism, theo, 0% tech. EPic.
Anyone else experience this? The entire world was like," ooo war... let's play."
The AI has been improved in the new patch. They all recognized that one side was busy and jumped in to take advantage.
