Would someone in the know please remind me on how to alter the shortcut target so as to load a Mod directly (i.e., without starting BTS, then loading the mod, etc.)?

I've seen it mentioned here in the forums before, but can't find it anymore.

Thanks!

Change the following line in the CivilizationIV.ini file:

; Specify a Mod folder (Mods\Mesopotamia), '0' for none
Mod = Rise of Mankind

The file is located in

C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword

More accurately in CivilizationIV.ini:

Mod = Mods\Rise of Mankind

There is other way too with making new shortcut:

1. Copy BtS shortcut
2. Right-click on the shortcut
3. Select Properties
4. In the line for Target add to the end: mod=\Rise of Mankind
5. save the shortcut
