1889 Jul 24, 2008, 09:24 PM Cast your vote for New Prime Faction.
Principality of Kassite or Cycles of Arete.
Poll to close on Wednesday if I set it up right, then lets hope for some turns that weekend. :D
Cyc Jul 24, 2008, 10:19 PM Gotta go with the Cycles of Arete!
thecommonnate Jul 24, 2008, 11:13 PM I would advise the people to look through the debate thread again before choosing.
1889 Jul 24, 2008, 11:48 PM Good idea and here is a link for the motivationaly impaired.

Provolution Jul 25, 2008, 02:55 AM Yes, Cycles of Arete.
Vandal Warlord Jul 25, 2008, 05:44 AM Principality Of Kassite!!! Pok, Pok, Pok, Pok!!!!
Gnoman Empire Jul 25, 2008, 05:48 AM I vote PoK! :p
Provolution Jul 25, 2008, 05:55 AM At least the outcome is not given, which is good, and we got rid of generic names for options, such as "The Triad Coalition" and "The Tribal Council".
Now both options got city names from our history.
dutchfire Jul 25, 2008, 06:48 AM Anyone care to convince me either way?
Vandal Warlord Jul 25, 2008, 07:32 AM Dutch,I would like to see you vote for us (the Principality of Kassite), so this is the only thing I can say that would possibly turn you to vote for us......
Follow the Priest or the Rebel.
civplayah Jul 25, 2008, 07:54 AM Gotta go with the Cycles!
Lord Civius Jul 25, 2008, 08:55 AM It was a tough decision but I had to go with the CoA. You made a great case Vandal and almost swung my vote.
vra379971 Jul 26, 2008, 05:56 AM Anyone care to convince me either way?
Isn't that sorta thing illegal this clsoe to the ballot box? :P
Vandal Warlord Jul 26, 2008, 07:15 PM 4 days untill the end of the begining and now it is 50-50
Cyc Jul 26, 2008, 10:41 PM Wow! With factions like this running so close to a tie, and the factions themselves being so alike, we should all join together and be one big happy family.
Oh, wait. Then who would we blame if it all goes bad? ;)
j/k
Lord Civius Jul 27, 2008, 02:10 AM Oh, wait. Then who would we blame if it all goes bad? ;)
j/k
and suddenly it all makes sense.............. :mischief:
Lord Civius Jul 27, 2008, 02:15 AM 4 days untill the end of the begining and now it is 50-50
Seems your persistence is paying off Vandal. I have confidence in both factions so atleast the DG will win either way.
Vandal Warlord Jul 27, 2008, 08:14 AM Um just, asking but, what do the voters percive of each faction?
Oh and btw, the Aretean Court faction has allied themselves with the PoK.
thecommonnate Jul 27, 2008, 10:45 PM This is very close....and interesting.
Vandal Warlord Jul 28, 2008, 06:05 AM Not as interesting as th the First Rebellion. :p
Vandal Warlord Jul 28, 2008, 08:14 AM Still 50-50 with 2 days to go.
Don't anyone cheat!
Cyc Jul 28, 2008, 09:50 AM Cheat? What's that mean? :)
Vandal Warlord Jul 28, 2008, 11:50 AM :p But, seriously no one create a new account just to vote for their side.
Lord Civius Jul 28, 2008, 02:40 PM But, seriously no one create a new account just to vote for their side.
This is why I am in favor of public polls for elections.
Cyc Jul 28, 2008, 03:41 PM Exactly, my man. Couldn't agree more.
This is real exciting, isn't it?
Vandal Warlord Jul 28, 2008, 04:01 PM Was that sarcasm?
Vandal Warlord Jul 28, 2008, 05:10 PM This is getting close.
What will we do if there is a tie?
ravensfire Jul 28, 2008, 07:09 PM Personally, I'd say start convincing me who to vote for.

Cyc Jul 28, 2008, 11:02 PM Was that sarcasm?
Uh yeah. That last bit was sarcasm. I was outta line there. I must have nodded off...
Personally, I'd say start convincing me who to vote for.

Well, Ravensfire. The COA, as I like to call it, represents a model of government that expands on the basic Faction System structure. It more or less opens up the inner circle of control to listening to what the public is saying. With a wider range of over-all input and a foundation based on the desires of the citizenry, our benevolent King has envisioned an almost representative-type Faction. Although still based on the Monarchy, with a system of closed door Council meetings, the mood of the people will strongly influence the decision-making of the King.
Plus there is a wide array of out-standing citizens in our ranks. No, I didn't say standing out in the rain. Although the reign of the COA will stand out as one of the best eras of this game. You are welcome to join us, as are all citizens, and we welcome your vote also.
Vandal Warlord Jul 29, 2008, 05:11 AM Personally, I'd say start convincing me who to vote for.

Diamondeye Jul 29, 2008, 11:10 AM I am back and my vote is cast for Cycles of Arete.
Cyc Jul 29, 2008, 12:46 PM Whoa! Just went through a small earthquake here in SoCal! Kinda fun.
Lord Civius Jul 29, 2008, 01:26 PM Whoa! Just went through a small earthquake here in SoCal! Kinda fun.
Just saw it on the news! 5.8 huh?
EDIT- Seems they've downgraded it to a 5.3
Furiey Jul 29, 2008, 02:02 PM I saw it first in OT, exciting place you live in Cyc. My first experience of one was last year in the early hours of the morning, it woke me up, so unexpected I thought poltergeist before earthquake! Really weird feeling though.
On topic, looks like I'm no longer holding onto the deciding vote :(
Cyc Jul 29, 2008, 03:39 PM :D I just hear from denyd that the epicenter was about 2 miles from where he lives. I've been about 12 miles close to an epicenter, but now he's got me beat.
At first, I thought someone had hit my truck, but there was no noise. Makes ya wonder.
Vandal Warlord Jul 29, 2008, 05:31 PM On topic, looks like I'm no longer holding onto the deciding vote :(
You could be!
thecommonnate Jul 29, 2008, 09:39 PM Yeah I felt that down here too, and yes theres still time I believe, Wednesday is the end right?
Cyc Jul 29, 2008, 10:53 PM I know who voted ABSTAIN.:satan:
Vandal Warlord Jul 30, 2008, 05:37 AM I know who voted ABSTAIN.:satan:
Some one who types in Japanese or Chinese.
Vandal Warlord Jul 30, 2008, 11:16 AM Some one vote for the PoK, PLEASE!!!
That way it WILL BA A CLOSE LOSS. OR WIN.
Cyc Jul 30, 2008, 12:24 PM Hey. No begging. Who do you think you are? McCreepy?
:j/K:
civplayah Jul 30, 2008, 04:36 PM If we win the elections, I appoint Cyc as my regent, because my computer crashed. It will be a couple of days before I can get back online. Take care of things, Cyc.;)
Vandal Warlord Jul 30, 2008, 05:55 PM ONE MORE VOTE!!! If the PoK gets one more vote it beomes a tie!
Lord Civius Jul 30, 2008, 09:08 PM If we win the elections, I appoint Cyc as my regent, because my computer crashed. It will be a couple of days before I can get back online. Take care of things, Cyc.;)
Cyc does not own BTS or Civ4 for that matter. The point of the regent is to play the save if the King cannot.
Lord Civius Jul 30, 2008, 09:52 PM So thats it the Cycles take it. Congrats to the new PF and to the PoK for a valiant effort.
1889 Jul 30, 2008, 09:53 PM Congratulations to the Cycles of Arete. Do you think you can play a turnset this weekend?
Cyc Jul 30, 2008, 10:30 PM Thank you, gentlemen. The Cycles of Arete appreciate your support. We also applaud the Principality of Kassite on a race well run. If the Rebel desires a good cause, you and all of your supporters are welcome into our Faction.
We would also like to thank everyone for their vote. It's deeply appreciated and our main effort will be to reward you with a government that works for you.
As good Lord Civius has stated, I personally can not play the save, but as civplayuh has appointed me Regent before his brief Leave of Absence, I can appoint a designated player to run the play session (which should include notes, battle logs, and screenies). Anyone who would like to volunteer for this position, please PM me.
Thanks again. Beer and soda is on the house. Leave some pizza for me.
Provolution Jul 31, 2008, 04:14 AM Yet again, I cannot play the save without the 3.17 patch, and I would urge to pressure the HOF priests to do some divine intervention here. (Hate being kept hostage by "experts").
Vandal Warlord Jul 31, 2008, 05:01 AM I can play the save if needed.
Congrats CoA it was a long run.
Diamondeye Jul 31, 2008, 07:23 AM Glad the vote was running long enough for me to throw in my vote :) Looks like it mattered this time..!
On a side note, I cannot play the save as I have patched to 3.17 (Provo, very true, we need some Divine Intervention here!)
Cyc Jul 31, 2008, 08:50 AM Thank you, VW. You're on the list.
I'll PM DaveShack about contacting the appropriate HOF Priest.
EDIT: Sent.
dutchfire Jul 31, 2008, 09:07 AM If needed, I could also play in the weekend.
Vandal Warlord Jul 31, 2008, 10:20 AM Thank you, VW. You're on the list.
I'll PM DaveShack about contacting the appropriate HOF Priest.
EDIT: Sent.
I can play 3.13 still so it doesn't matter to me whether it is 3.17 or 3.13.
Furiey Jul 31, 2008, 03:19 PM Doh! I missed the vote!
And to think I could have given you all the fun of a tied election
Congratulations to everyone in the new government. Glad this game can get moving again, even if I do only peep in occasionally.
thecommonnate Jul 31, 2008, 08:27 PM Wow...this could go one of two very different ways...
Cyc Jul 31, 2008, 10:54 PM Ok, thanks dutchfire. You're on the list.
And which two very different ways might that be, the commonnate?
dutchfire Aug 02, 2008, 05:57 AM When do you expect to hold the session?
Joe Harker Aug 02, 2008, 07:16 AM I still have the 3.13 verison of Hof, so I can also play should no one else be around. :)
Cyc Aug 02, 2008, 09:44 AM Thank you Joe Harker. You're on the list also.
Before we play the Turn Session, we need to complete the Instruction thread in the Gameplay sub-forum. Once that's completed (or deemed completed), we will have our T/S goal (s) and can play the save.
