errrr.... it seems i can not win anymore because of weird stuff.

I was doing a culture game and already took some land from charlemane. He didn't liked that and being the only budhist he got cocky. So he attacked me, i had not mutch units but i could whip myself some war elephants and phalanx to kick his horse archers. He started pillaging my towns :(. so i thought let's make peace, and he accepted without any offering. But then my city flipped to his side.... how did that happen? i had certainly the most culture, i had 3 squares and his border cities had 1 or 2...... I had 6 units and a spy stacked in my city and suddenly he gets my city? Why? Almost finished sistines chappel and was almost ready to max culture.... i should have gotten his cities instead of mine...... Starting to get anoying as each game i play something weird happens like a stack of axeman getting killed by 2 catas...

So why did my city flip? i was all happy, had representation. only minor thing was the city had a size of 2 becaus of whipping, but still no unhappy people...

maybe a screeny helps,

Sorry about that.

Are you sure that you didn't pay the city to get peace?

When you ask the AI what he would give/take for peace, it takes you to the trading screen where probably he was offering peace in exchange for your city.
If you don't plan to finish the game, you could reloa the previous turn and repeat the diplomatic actions, to check if that is what happened.
