Im new to civ 4 on mac and really need to know how to install patches after i have downloaded them so i can play online and whatnot. Please help, where do i put the patch!:cry:

First, you need to be aware that you can't install patches in the Mac versions of Civ4 using the in-game update link. That goes to the Windows patch site, and the Windows patches don't work on a Mac.

So you need to get the patches from the links you will find in the sticky Patch threads near the top of this forum listing (http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=199).

When you download a patch you just mount it as a disk image, and run the installer, like any other Mac installer. There's one issue, though. If you are running Leopard - OS X 10.5.x, then the installer will probably not run straight from the Disk Image. You will have to copy it from the Disk Image to your desktop (just drag and drop it) and run that copy.
