View Full Version : Forum Mad Libs!
Bigfoot3814 Aug 06, 2008, 07:49 PM I love mad libs, and I think they would work here on the forums.
In case you didn't know, Mad Libs is a fill-in-the-blank word game in which you create a story by filling in nouns, verbs, adjectives and the like where appropriate. However, you have to pick your words before you see the story!
Adjective:
Noun:
Verb:
Number:
Now fill in the blanks!
Adjective: Splendiferous
Noun: Horseshoe Crab
Verb: Charleston
Number: 658568734
After doing that, we reveal the pre-written story with our words added in.
"I was having a splendiferous day making origami out of horseshoe crab(s), but then I accidentally got cut. I Charleston(ed) to the hospital as fast as I could, and had to pay 658568734 dollars.
Creating silliness and absurdity is pretty much the whole idea of the game.
How it will work is each poster picks one word at a time, and then when all the blanks are filled I'll reveal the story. After picking once, please don't choose again before at least two other people get to participate. So let's get started!

Bigfoot3814 Aug 06, 2008, 07:49 PM Stories thus far...
1. HOW TO WASH YOUR FACE
In order to wash your face quizzically, you must wet your pillow in warm Mercury. Then, jiggle it across your face 13 times. This will wash off any remaining lasers. When you are done you should ingest the cloth in horny water to clean it. You should also wash your face with a penguin to keep it smooth and shiny. This will keep also keep away visions. Don`t worry. It is normal to experience fetal alchohol syndrome the first time you try this. Consult your Bra Inspector if you break out in kidneys. This works well on your spleen too!
2. History of Sonic the Hedgehog
It`s 1990, and SEGA isn`t making very ambidextrous games. Nintendo`s mascot, Mario, is making more and more games that are way better than any of SEGA`s. Then SEGA had a tomatoe, what they needed is a Mario of their own...they had the banana of making a rabbit that can stretch his lungs out and moderate things. That plan didn`t go so well. They needed an animal that can nuke itself and crumble enemies by doing only a spin. They noticed that hedgehogs have quills that nuke and crumble. So they went with the hedgehog. Since he was planned to be a rabbit, they programmed him to run at a squishy speed. Then, in 1991, `Sonic the Hedgehog` was released for the SEGA toilet paper. In the first year, it out-nudged Mario by 3.14159265358979323846 Copies. Sonic was then known as SEGA`s civilization. Over the years, Sonic has taken on many Mormons. In 1998, he took on a pedestrian style in the game `Sonic Adventure.` Today, Mario and Sonic are still venomous rivals. Also, in Winter 2007, Mario and Sonic will compete in the 2008 Forum Mad Libs Thread Olympics in `Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games` for the Nintendo Moderator and Nintendo II.

Globex Aug 06, 2008, 11:49 PM Do we have to pick words in order or can we choose any number from the list and fill in the word for it?
Bigfoot3814 Aug 07, 2008, 04:33 AM I guess you can just choose the one you want. Can't think of an adverb?
