Ok i have download issues (again) while trying to download civ 4: BtS. i put the disk in and it says that it's checking for current version of the directx thing and then it just closes. i'm going to try restarting my computer and i will inform you if the proble persists. but if it doesn't can anyone help me?!?

Maybe go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and make sure you're up to date? If you're not clicking on CUSTOM while you're there, or if you're relying exclusively on automatic updates, there could be any number of things wrong with your computer.

ok i restarted my computer and it worked! the game is downloaded but now when it gets to the XML files it won't work. any help?

It says failed loading XML file xml\globaldefinsealt.xml. and then when i click ok a bunch of similar error messages show up, anyone here know how to fix this?

is there noone out there that can help?
