Very often when playing the game crashes to desktop. It always happens when I click on something that would require a new window to pop up. The diplo screen, the power graph, the military graph any of those. The game freezes for about 5 seconds, then crashes.

This has never happened in multiplayer, which I play an equal amount of the time.

Are there any fixes?

Using 10.5.4 OS, and Warlords with the latest patch. Always play on standard to large map, and I haven't noticed a frequency increase with map size.

No such thing as an unexpected crash playing Civ, in my experience. I expect them all the time ;).

Yes, the various screens, as well as calling up a leader, seem to be common triggers, but they're not the only ones, by a long shot.

Yeah well, any solutions?

Never trust a port?

Emulate windows?
