This is my first post. I am definitely a Civ fanatic, and get excited with each new release of the series.

Although I have played strategy/RTS games for years (my preferred genre), I have yet to play any game online with/against a human player.

The only connection available at my new location is dial-up, so I am asking if anyone would like to play me by email.

This game will most likely take a very long time, so if anyone would like to commit to this endeavor please send me a message. You can choose any settings you want, and even be the one to initialize the game if you want... and set any rules you want.

I am looking forward to this very much. I believe it could be like one of those years-long chess games that happen one move per day... like in the movie Assassins.

By the way, my Civ version is Civ4 (Regular), without any expansion packs.

Welcome to CFC, ParadoxEquation! :) You can hopefully find a game to join here. However, it is probably a good idea to get Beyond the Sword if you can, since most players are likely using that.

I'm new to the multiplayer side of the game as well ParadoxEquation, but I'd like to give it a try.

I'm of average ability when it comes to the Civ series but I'd be in it for the long haul.
