Wow.. i dunno this start just kinda struck me as odd..

So what is the question?

nothing hahaha, just showin off the strange start..

it came to be a small chain of islands, with that as the main central land, kinda like a spit of land the way it is shaped.

You have
- stone
- seafood
- production (stone, cow, horse, 2 mines = ~ 20 base production at size 7 without starvation)

You can try a wonderspam / super specialist capital approach here, as there are not too many other good city sites around. Spam wonders, and build a couple extra cities west of the desert to make sure you can build military and workers without stopping your capital from wonderspamming. See obsolote's games to get a hyper-example.

Looks like a killer capital! Here's what I would do:

- after fishing, tech sailing, masonry, hunting, archery, meditation, priesthood, pottery.

- once sailing is in, build a lighthouse. Once masonry is in, build the Great Lighthouse. Build extra workboats for exploration of those islands. Settle some of those offshore islands for buckets of cash via intercontinental trade routes.

- build the oracle once priesthood is in (chop if needed), don't finish it until pottery completes, then take metal casting. Build some triremes for naval defense against barb galleys.

- After pottery, research bronze working. Settle any copper sites that show up. Build the Colossus for buckets of ocean commerce (financial + Colossus = +2 commerce from water tiles).

- since you're protective, fortify an archer 1S of the corn on the forested hill choke point. That will keep any barbs from getting near your capital.
