This Random Event adds the Olympics. After building the Colosseum in at least one city, it has a chance of occurring.

It was all written in XML, using Solver's Guide. (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=230567) This should work with most mods, as they generally do not mess with these files.

Could you tell me what the earlier problem was? When you couldn't get it to work first?

Earlier problem. Heck their were like 15. From having typos in the XML, to wrong numbers. I could never say. It took me like an hour to sort it all out. It works now.

And if anyone can tell me how to get rid of the "Pacal gets -3 happy" on the last option, while keeping my +3, tell me.

A question: How can there be an option to "steal" the Olympics when you have been chosen to have it. You can't steal it from your own civilization, can you?

By "Steal", I am implying to cheat. I did put it in quotations. Is their a "better" word that you would like there?

After selecting "Steal the Olympics" It says "You have hosted the Olympics. Foreign contestants are grumbling about rigged contests"

Now when I know what you mean I can't find a better word for it...

Do you have to have the bare minimum amount of gold in order for this event to trigger? Because it would stink if you have no way of affording it and are forced to take the diplomatic penalty.

You do in real life. What if we asked Ethiopia to host the Olympics in 2012? (We won't, I know.) Could they afford it? I tried to make it realistic. A -1 diplomatic is the least of your worries. In fact, I think I will add a temporary unhappy for refusing.

Well, countries aren't asked to host the Olympics. Countries bend over backwards trying to prove they can and should host the games (and probably fill somebody's bank accounts). There's a lot of money and prestige to be had in hosting the games (or at least there used to be). China, for example, had to make promises to work on human rights and journalistic freedom (for the foreign journalists during the games) in order to get the bid for 2008.

True. I lowered the price to "Sponsor" the Olympics to 20 gold. It should be feasible 95% of the time. I also notched down most of the other things too.
