Yeah, that could happen. OTOH, I guess most of the English colonies will be named after early colonies on mainland North America, plus more famous ones like Port Royale and Bahamas. Either way, you can always name your colonies whatever you prefer, so why not use different sites on your home island? I like to choose a country, and give all of my colonies names from that country. For instance, I might call my colonial empire "Haiti" instead of "new France", and name the colonies after cities and towns in Haiti.

Heh! I see your point. But the Dutch have fewer colony names to pick from, I'm afraid, so even minor towns will have to be on their list.
