I've seen that date as the release's in three different sites so far: EB Games, GameStop and Gamespot. I know online stores generally make up a date for the purpose of pre-orders and such, but Gamespot usually keeps the TBAs till they're more or less certain of the precise date.

22/09/08 kind of makes sense. I was hoping it'd be earlier in the month, but then I remember they originally advertised the release as Fall 2008, and that starts on the 21st.

Amazon.co.uk has the 26th listed, Amazon.com does not even list the game, and Gamespy and IGN have TBA, so I'll wait until something is finalized. I agree, though, that it will probably be around that timeframe...

Not necessarily. I've worked on titles where it was a week, and others where it was two months. :p

Hmm. IGN now lists the 22nd (26th for Australia), and while Gamespy says TBA in the game's page, it says 22nd on the search results. Still, we should wait till it's officially announced before we announce it ourselves. :p

I guess there's some discrepancies in the numbers because of the shipping/release date confusion. The game probably ships on the 22nd, which means it'll be on most stores by the 23rd. So the game's out either on the 22nd or 23rd, depending on how you look at it.

Curiously, it's not listed as a pre-order, but as "temporarily out of stock". I doubt they have, or had, the game, and my guess is they'll ship it out at more or less the same time as everyone else.

Yeah. GameStop and EBGames have it listed at $29.99 as well. A fair price, considering most new games are between the $39.99 and $49.99 range.
