I'm listening to Polyton's Podcast 50, an interview with Sid Meier, and it's gotten me thinking... interviewers almost never ask Sid directly about platform availability. I would love it if there is a way for us Mac-users to encourage Apolyton and Civfanatics, and heck even Gamespy and other industry insiders, to question and pressure Sid Meier directly about making Civilization available to more platforms (including Macs of course!!). Maybe if Sid hears a plug for Mac availability in every interview and appearance he ever makes, he'll go back and demand to "the suits" that they address this problem.

Really, anyone who uses a Mac made a choice. You can't get the best of both worlds. Unless you actually have both worlds. Get bootcamp and install windows. Use Windows for games. Use Mac for everything else.

I have bootcamp and play BTS that way, but I prefer to use OS X. Blizzard does an excellent job of caring about Macs and Mac users, and I think with a bit more pressure, Firaxis could too! Blizzard games demonstrate that Mac-users can, in fact, have the best of both worlds :D

Showing interest in a mac release of BTS is exactly how you get them to release mac BTS. Even if it doesn't, show interest has a better chance that taking on a defeatist attitude and just saying it will never happen.

Well as far as I'm concerned if it comes down to Sid developing more games or sid developing mac games, Sid should develop more games.
